Batch Transactions and Token Escrow for Enterprises
A key highlight of XRPL 2.5.0 is batch transactions, allowing businesses to send mass payments or distribute tokens in a single step. This feature simplifies token airdrops and payroll processing, making the ledger more suitable for institutional use.

Another major addition is token escrow, which enables secure and automated payouts. This is ideal for managing vesting schedules and dApp deposit systems, providing trust and efficiency to enterprise users and developers.
More Control for Developers and Improved Network Stability
The upgrade also introduces a permissioned decentralized exchange (DEX) and permission delegation. These give developers better control over network operations, enabling them to define who can access certain features or data.
Version 2.5.0 addresses several key bugs, especially in NFT trustlines and RPC responses, leading to faster performance and greater reliability. According to XRPL validator Vet, the update has made the ledger more “efficient and dependable.”
Surge in Network Activity and Price Recovery
Since the release of version 2.5.0, XRPL has seen a sevenfold increase in daily active addresses. Whale wallets have also hit new records, signaling rising interest and adoption. While Ethereum and Solana are witnessing reduced activity and capital outflow, XRP is attracting more attention.
The update has also had a positive impact on XRP’s market performance. The token recovered from Sunday’s losses and rose nearly 6%, trading around $2.17.
RippleX engineer Mayukha Vadari previously stated that this version would help XRPL compete with top-tier chains—and so far, it is delivering.
