- Cardano has expanded its ecosystem with new cross-chain, governance, and development updates as ADA climbed to a one-month high.
- The price is now testing key resistance near $0.20 after strong whale accumulation and recent gains.
Cardano entered August with several major ecosystem updates, including a new cross-chain connection with Injective, expanded on-chain governance, and the start of its next development phase. At the same time, whale buying helped ADA climb to a one-month high, putting the $0.20 resistance level back in focus.
JUST IN🔥 : Cardano is now officially connected to Injective, the first blockchain to have a live onchain rail to Cardano via testnet.$ADA is coming to Injective. $INJ is coming to @Cardano. Both will be available across the two ecosystems. pic.twitter.com/ECnexrfx8c

Cardano Expands Cross-Chain Connectivity
Cardano has taken another step toward improving interoperability after connecting with Injective through the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol on the testnet.
The integration will eventually allow ADA to move into the Injective ecosystem, while INJ will become accessible on Cardano. Although the connection is still in testing, it lays the foundation for smoother asset transfers and communication between the two blockchain networks.
The update also supports Cardano’s broader goal of expanding beyond its own ecosystem and improving compatibility with other blockchain platforms.
Development Focus Shifts to the Dijkstra Era
Following the completion of the van Rossem upgrade, developers have shifted their attention to the next stage of Cardano’s roadmap, known as the Dijkstra era.
Upcoming improvements include Nested Transactions and Linear Leios, both expected to reach the mainnet before the end of the year.
The previous van Rossem upgrade delivered better Plutus performance, improved ledger consistency, and stronger node security. The next development phase is expected to build on those improvements while increasing the network’s efficiency and scalability.
Cardano Strengthens On-Chain Governance
Cardano has introduced new governance tools that give the community a greater role in managing the network.
The election of the Constitutional Committee now takes place directly on the blockchain, making the process easier to verify and more transparent. The committee oversees whether governance decisions comply with Cardano’s constitution.
The ecosystem has also launched a portal where community members can test future constitutional proposals. At the same time, ADA holders and their delegated representatives can vote on proposals affecting the network’s technical parameters.
These changes continue Cardano’s push toward decentralized governance by increasing community participation in decision-making.
EMURGO Resigns From Intersect Board
EMURGO has announced its immediate resignation from the Intersect board and will remove its delegated representatives.
The decision follows criticism from community members regarding governance participation and the delegation experience within Yoroi Wallet.
According to EMURGO, the move is intended to address those concerns. The announcement has also renewed discussions about accountability among Cardano’s leading ecosystem organizations.
ADA Price Tests Critical Resistance
ADA has been one of the stronger-performing large-cap cryptocurrencies over the past week.
The price climbed from around $0.15 in late July to nearly $0.195 on August 4, marking its highest level in a month. The rally was supported by increased buying from large investors, with whales accumulating more than 240 million ADA within five days.
After the sharp advance, ADA has pulled back slightly as some traders take profits.
The price is now testing an important resistance zone between $0.19 and $0.20. A decisive move above this area could strengthen bullish sentiment and potentially open the door to higher price targets around $0.28 to $0.30, according to some market analysts.
On the downside, holding above the $0.17 level could help preserve ADA’s improving short-term technical structure.
Outlook
Cardano’s latest developments show continued progress across interoperability, governance, and network development. Combined with renewed whale accumulation and improving market sentiment, these updates have helped lift ADA to a one-month high.
Whether the rally continues will likely depend on ADA’s ability to break above the $0.20 resistance level while maintaining support above $0.17. If development milestones continue to arrive on schedule, Cardano could remain one of the closely watched blockchain networks in the weeks ahead.
