What Do IOTA Users Need to Do?

To prevent any issues, users should ensure that they remove any saved or whitelisted IOTA deposit addresses, as these will no longer be valid after May 2, 2025. New deposit addresses for IOTA will be provided after the upgrade is completed, and users will be able to make deposits again once the IOTA mainnet is fully operational.

IOTA’s Historic Upgrade: Rebased Network

The IOTA Rebased upgrade marks a significant milestone for the network, as it transitions to a new architecture that promises enhanced scalability and performance. This upgrade is part of a larger effort to modernize the IOTA ecosystem, with a Genesis Ceremony led by the IOTA Foundation and an initial group of 13 validators.

Binance.US emphasized that while it will continue trading IOTA without interruptions, it will temporarily halt deposits and withdrawals to facilitate the smooth migration of the network. The platform expects to resume these services shortly after completing the upgrade.

IOTA users on Binance.US need to be proactive in ensuring they complete all deposits before the May 2 cutoff to avoid any potential loss of funds. As the network prepares for the Rebased upgrade, this temporary suspension is a necessary step for the ongoing development of the IOTA ecosystem.
