- Bitmine Immersion Technologies has increased its Ethereum holdings to 4.326 million ETH, spending $83 million in a single day.
- Nearly 2.9 million ETH are staked, reflecting the firm’s long-term strategy despite market volatility.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies has intensified its Ethereum accumulation, pushing its holdings to unprecedented levels. The firm’s latest move reinforces its position as one of the largest corporate holders of ETH, even amid volatile market conditions.
Record Ethereum Purchases Signal Confidence
On-chain data reveals that Bitmine purchased 40,000 ETH in a single day, totaling roughly $83.4 million. This included a $42.3 million acquisition from BitGo, following an earlier buy of the same size. These transactions raise Bitmine’s total Ethereum holdings to 4.326 million tokens, representing about 3.6% of ETH’s circulating supply.

Tom Lee, Executive Chairman of Bitmine, commented on the strategy: “We view this pullback as attractive, given the strengthening fundamentals. In our view, the price of ETH is not reflective of the high utility of ETH and its role as the future of finance.”
Staking Anchors Long-Term Strategy
Nearly 2.9 million of Bitmine’s ETH holdings are currently staked, generating additional yield through the company’s Ethereum infrastructure operations. This approach emphasizes a long-term value strategy rather than short-term speculative gains. By leveraging staking returns, Bitmine strengthens its financial resilience while remaining heavily invested in Ethereum’s ecosystem.
Lee described recent price weakness as a buying opportunity, citing Ethereum’s history of sharp recoveries following deep drawdowns. The staking yields, he noted, provide an additional source of returns that make accumulation during market dips appealing.
Institutional Interest in Ethereum Grows
Bitmine’s aggressive buying activity underscores the growing interest among institutional players in Ethereum as a treasury asset. Combined with Bitcoin and cash reserves, the company’s total crypto and cash holdings are valued at approximately $10 billion.
While Ethereum has faced challenges regaining upside momentum amid a broader risk-off sentiment in the crypto market, Bitmine’s continued accumulation highlights a vote of confidence in the asset’s long-term potential. Institutional demand for ETH could play a significant role in shaping market sentiment, especially during periods of price uncertainty.
As Bitmine continues to expand its Ethereum position, the company demonstrates a strategic commitment to digital assets that goes beyond short-term fluctuations. Its approach combines tactical accumulation, staking rewards, and confidence in Ethereum’s future, reflecting a model that other institutional investors may increasingly follow.
