- Critical Level: ADA must break the $0.88 resistance to validate a rally toward $1.20.
- Analyst View: Ali Martinez highlights Fibonacci levels, with upside targets at $0.96, $1.05, and $1.23.
- Founder’s Vision: Charles Hoskinson pushes for growth, with the Glacier upgrade set to boost Cardano’s scalability and DeFi utility.
- Ethereum Gap: Despite progress, Cardano still lags Ethereum in market cap ($28B vs $532B) and TVL ($362M vs $91.64B).
Can ADA Break the $0.88 Resistance?
Cardano (ADA) is showing renewed bullish momentum, gaining more than 3% in the past hour and currently trading at $0.83, according to CoinMarketCap. After rebounding from a daily low of $0.7964, traders are closely watching whether ADA can escape its consolidation phase.
Top analyst Ali Martinez notes that the $0.8789 resistance level (0.786 Fib) is the make-or-break threshold for ADA. A decisive close above this could open the path toward $0.96, followed by $1.05, and ultimately $1.23—a potential 50% upside from current levels.
However, downside risks remain. ADA has key support around $0.78, with stronger demand expected at $0.72 and $0.66 if bearish pressure increases.
Charles Hoskinson’s Push: “Cardano Must Win”
In his latest AMA, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson reaffirmed his ambition for ADA’s success, stating he wants “Cardano to win” in the competition with Ethereum.
Hoskinson urged developers to accelerate ecosystem growth and highlighted the upcoming Glacier upgrade, which will:
- Introduce the Hydra protocol for scalability
- Enhance smart contracts
- Launch the Midnight token for privacy and governance

Cardano vs Ethereum: Can the Gap Narrow?
While sentiment around ADA is bullish, the gap with Ethereum remains vast. As of now:
- Ethereum market cap: $532 billion
- Cardano market cap: $28 billion
- Ethereum TVL: $91.64 billion
- Cardano TVL: $362 million (DefiLlama)
Clearly, Ethereum dominates in both DeFi adoption and ecosystem value. However, if Cardano’s Glacier upgrade delivers on promises, it could boost adoption and help ADA close part of this gap.
$1.20 in Sight, but Roadblocks Ahead
Cardano’s short-term outlook hinges on a clean breakout above $0.88. If achieved, ADA could quickly climb toward the $1.20 zone, aligning with Martinez’s projections.
However, without sustained developer activity and ecosystem adoption, ADA risks stalling below $1.00. The Glacier upgrade may prove to be the turning point that determines whether Cardano remains a challenger—or emerges as a stronger rival to Ethereum.
