- Pi Network price faces bearish pressure ahead of its November 17–19 Ecosystem Summit, with open interest falling by over $5 million.
- PI could target $0.10 if it breaks above $0.085 resistance, but a drop below $0.070 could trigger further losses.
Pi Network price is under pressure ahead of its first-ever Ecosystem Summit, scheduled for November 17–19, 2026. The event could introduce new platforms and features, but weakening trading activity and bearish technical indicators remain major obstacles to a recovery toward $0.10.
Pi Network Summit Could Bring New Features and Platforms
The Pi Core Team has scheduled its first Ecosystem Summit for November 17–19, with a focus on expanding the network’s ecosystem and increasing the utility of PI.
The three-day event will focus on the developer platform, ecosystem growth, and new applications built on Pi Network. The team has also indicated that new features and platforms could be announced during the summit.
These announcements could influence market sentiment if they demonstrate practical uses for PI and encourage more developers to build on the network.
The summit comes about a month after Pi Network activated its Protocol v28 mainnet upgrade on October 16. PI initially rose from around $0.074 to $0.081 following the upgrade, but the gains faded as selling pressure returned.
Pi Network is also facing broader market uncertainty. The cryptocurrency has fallen 15% month-to-date as Bitcoin and other altcoins weakened amid concerns surrounding the upcoming US midterm elections and a selloff in AI stocks.
PI Open Interest Falls by $5 Million
Trading activity in Pi Network derivatives has weakened, adding another concern for traders hoping for a recovery.
Open interest fell from $29.18 million on October 16 to approximately $24.03 million by October 22. The decline of about $5.15 million suggests that traders have been reducing their exposure to PI futures.
The drop also puts open interest at its lowest level since September 16, indicating that speculative participation has cooled.
This decline comes despite developments intended to support the ecosystem, including Pi Network’s partnership with OpenUSD for Pioneer rewards. However, these developments have yet to produce a sustained improvement in market sentiment.
Lower open interest does not necessarily mean that PI will continue falling. However, a recovery toward $0.10 may require renewed buying interest alongside stronger participation from traders.
Pi Network Price Faces Resistance at $0.085
Pi Network price remains below its key exponential moving averages (EMAs) on the daily chart, a technical setup that points to continued bearish pressure.
The RSI stands at 37 and is trending downward. This suggests that sellers remain in control, although the indicator has not yet reached the conventional oversold level of 30.
PI is trading close to its all-time low of $0.070, leaving the $0.070–$0.068 zone important if the current decline continues.
A break below $0.070 could expose the lower $0.068 level. Such a move would further weaken the outlook ahead of the November summit.
On the upside, the 50-day EMA near $0.085 is the first major resistance to watch. A daily close above this level could improve the technical outlook and open the way toward $0.10.
However, PI would need to overcome this resistance and attract stronger buying demand before a sustained recovery becomes more convincing.
Can Pi Network Price Reach $0.10 Before November 17?
Pi Network could move toward $0.10 ahead of the Ecosystem Summit if new buying interest emerges and the price breaks above the $0.085 resistance level.
Announcements about new platforms, developer tools, or practical applications could help improve sentiment. However, the event alone does not guarantee a price increase.
For now, the bearish EMA structure, declining RSI, and falling open interest suggest that PI faces a difficult path toward $0.10. Traders will be watching the $0.070 support level and the $0.085 resistance level for signs of the next major move.
A break above $0.085 would strengthen the bullish case, while a loss of $0.070 could expose PI to further downside before the summit begins.
