Cardano Breaks Transaction Record With 1.78 Million in Six Days

CARDANO IMAGE AND SOME COINS IN THE BACKGROUND

Cardano has set a new transaction record after processing 1,780,896 transactions during Epoch 660, according to blockchain explorer Cexplorer.io. The milestone surpasses the previous record of 1,566,974 transactions recorded in Epoch 304, highlighting a sharp increase in activity on the Cardano network.

The record comes as ADA gains ground in the crypto market. However, it remains unclear whether the increase in transaction activity signals sustained network growth or a temporary surge.

Cardano Network Records Nearly 1.8 Million Transactions

Cexplorer data shows that Cardano processed nearly 1.8 million transactions between October 6 and October 11, 2026. During the same period, the network produced 21,243 blocks, with each block containing an average of 83.83 transactions.

The latest figure marks a significant increase from Cardano’s previous record of 1,566,974 transactions. It also follows another milestone reported on October 9, when the network surpassed 125 million cumulative transactions on its mainnet.

At that point, Epoch 660 had recorded 986,787 transactions. The total subsequently climbed to 1,780,896, setting a new record for transactions processed in a single epoch.

While the figures highlight increased blockchain activity, transaction counts do not necessarily reflect the number of individual users. A single user or application can generate multiple transactions on the network.

Cardano Generates ₳337,720 in Transaction Fees

The increase in transaction activity also drove higher fees during Epoch 660. According to Cexplorer, the network generated approximately ₳337,720 in transaction fees, with the average fee standing at around ₳0.19 per transaction.

Cardano ADA processed 1,780,896 transactions in Epoch 660

The figures represent a sharp increase from the two preceding epochs. Epoch 659 processed 158,011 transactions and generated ₳49,490 in fees, while Epoch 658 recorded 159,916 transactions and ₳53,510 in fees.

The difference suggests that Cardano experienced a substantial spike in transaction activity during Epoch 660. Whether this level of activity continues in subsequent epochs will provide a clearer picture of the network’s usage.

ADA Price Gains Coincide With Rising Network Activity

Cardano’s transaction record comes amid a strong monthly performance for ADA. The token has gained 20.55% over the past 30 days, outperforming Bitcoin’s 8% increase during the same period.

ADA was trading at $0.2515 at the time of the reported data, up 82.5% from its June low of $0.1387. The token also briefly reached $0.2824 before pulling back.

Market participants are now watching whether ADA can reclaim the $0.30 level, with some analysts pointing to the $0.40 range as a potential next target.

The token’s recent price gains may have contributed to increased activity across the Cardano network. However, the available data does not establish a direct link between ADA’s price performance and the transaction record.

Will Cardano Sustain Its Transaction Growth?

Cardano’s record of 1,780,896 transactions in Epoch 660 marks a notable increase in on-chain activity. The network also generated higher transaction fees during the period, reinforcing the scale of the increase.

The next few epochs will be important in determining whether the surge represents a lasting change in network usage or a temporary spike. For now, Cardano has surpassed its previous single-epoch transaction record as ADA attracts renewed market attention.
