Chainlink ETF Inflows Hit $10M – Why Is LINK Still Dropping?

CHAINLINK IMAGE

Chainlink’s ETF has attracted approximately $10 million in new capital over two days, signaling continued institutional interest in LINK. However, LINK’s price decline has reduced the total value of ETF assets, raising questions about whether growing investment in Chainlink can translate into stronger demand for LINK.

Chainlink ETF Inflows Reach $10 Million

Institutional interest in Chainlink continues to grow despite weakness in the LINK price. Bitwise recently transferred $1.17 million worth of LINK from Wintermute, adding to the broader pattern of institutional activity surrounding LINK.

According to SoSoValue data, the Chainlink ETF recorded approximately $10 million in inflows over two consecutive days. The investment added to cumulative net inflows of around $179.61 million.

However, the increase in capital has not translated into higher total ETF assets. Net assets fell from $249.41 million to $229.38 million during the period.

The decline suggests that LINK’s falling market price has outweighed the effect of new investments. Although investors continue to add exposure, the value of their holdings has decreased.

Sustained ETF inflows could help support LINK over time. However, the token may struggle to recover without stronger market demand and increased trading activity.

Chainlink Controls 60% of the Oracle Market

Chainlink maintains a strong position in the blockchain oracle sector, where its services connect smart contracts with external data.

According to DeFiLlama data, Chainlink accounts for approximately 60.28% of tracked oracle value, securing around $36.6 billion across more than 530 protocols.

Its closest competitors trail well behind. Internal accounts for 13.10% of tracked oracle value, while Chronicle holds an 8.19% share.

This lead gives Chainlink a significant advantage as decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms rely on accurate external data to support lending, derivatives, and other financial applications.

Its established position could also make it harder for competing oracle providers to gain market share as blockchain adoption expands.

However, Chainlink’s dominance does not automatically translate into higher LINK demand. The key question is whether the growing use of its infrastructure will create greater demand for the token itself.

CCIP Expansion Could Strengthen LINK Demand

Chainlink is expanding beyond traditional DeFi price feeds into institutional financial services and tokenized assets.

Its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) allows assets and data to move between different blockchain networks. Chainlink’s oracle services also support tokenized financial products, including equities and government treasuries.

The launch of CCIP 2.0 expands the protocol’s capabilities for institutional users, including cross-chain transfers and compliance-related features for tokenized assets.

Greater adoption could create recurring revenue as financial institutions move from pilot projects to broader commercial use. Increased activity across Chainlink’s services could therefore strengthen its position in blockchain-based financial infrastructure.

However, wider adoption alone may not be enough to lift LINK’s price. Stronger evidence would come from sustained CCIP usage, rising service revenue, and increased use of LINK for payments within the ecosystem.

Until these developments translate into stronger demand, Chainlink’s expanding institutional presence may not deliver the price recovery investors expect.

Can LINK Turn Institutional Interest Into Price Growth?

Chainlink continues to attract ETF investment while maintaining a leading position in the oracle market. Its expansion into cross-chain infrastructure and tokenized assets also creates opportunities for further adoption.

However, LINK faces a key challenge: turning that growth into measurable demand for the token.

Continued ETF inflows could provide support, but a lasting recovery will likely depend on broader market conditions and stronger demand linked to Chainlink’s services. Investors will be watching whether institutional adoption begins to translate into improved token performance.
