Ethereum Price Eyes $2,300 as Exchange Supply Falls by Nearly 1 Million ETH

  • Ethereum is attempting to recover as nearly 1 million ETH left exchanges and spot Ethereum ETFs recorded a third straight day of inflows.
  • If ETH holds above $1,850 and breaks the $2,000 resistance, analysts see potential for a move toward $2,300.

Ethereum (ETH) is attempting to regain strength after a recent pullback, with on-chain data pointing to improving market conditions. A sharp decline in exchange reserves, steady institutional demand, and a bullish chart pattern have renewed speculation that ETH could be preparing for a move toward $2,300.

Ethereum Holds Above Key Support Despite Price Dip

Ethereum traded around $1,919 at the time of writing, down roughly 1% over the past 24 hours. While the decline interrupted its recent recovery, the broader technical structure remains intact.

Trading activity presented a mixed picture. Futures volume fell nearly 20% to $31.61 billion, while futures open interest eased to $27.68 billion. However, options trading continued to strengthen, with options open interest rising 5.63% to $5.05 billion.

The figures suggest that traders remain active even as short-term market activity slows.

Nearly 1 Million ETH Leaves Exchanges

One of the strongest bullish signals came from Ethereum’s exchange reserves.

According to crypto analyst Ali Martinez, nearly 1 million ETH, valued at around $2 billion, has been withdrawn from cryptocurrency exchanges over the past month. Exchange balances dropped from approximately 17.2 million ETH to 16.4 million ETH during that period.

Lower exchange balances often reduce immediate selling pressure because fewer coins are readily available for sale. Investors generally view this trend as a sign that holders expect higher prices over the longer term.

Ethereum Could Target $2,300 if $1,850 Holds

Ali Martinez also highlighted a double bottom pattern developing on Ethereum’s daily chart.

This pattern places $1,850 as the most important support level. If ETH continues holding above that price, the pattern projects a possible move toward $2,300.

The setup still requires confirmation through stronger buying activity. A failure to defend the $1,850 support could delay any larger recovery.

Spot Ethereum ETFs Continue Attracting Capital

Institutional demand has also remained positive. On July 21, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded their third consecutive day of net inflows, adding a combined $37.47 million.

BlackRock’s ETHA led the market with $52.79 million in inflows. Meanwhile, Fidelity’s FETH recorded $15.32 million in net outflows. Other spot Ethereum ETFs reported little to no change during the session.

Ethereum deriatives data analysis

Although the daily inflows were modest, they indicate that institutional investors continue allocating capital to Ethereum despite recent price fluctuations.

Technical Levels to Watch

Ethereum has recovered significantly from its recent low near $1,500 and now trades above both its 20-day and 50-day exponential moving averages, a sign that buyers have regained some control.

However, the next challenge sits near the 100-day EMA around $1,938, which aligns with a long-term descending trendline.

ETHEREUM/TetherUS PRICE CHART FOR 24 HOURS PERIOD

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands near 63, indicating improving buying strength without entering overbought territory.

Key Ethereum Price Levels

  • $1,950–$2,000: This remains the first major resistance. A daily close above this range could strengthen the recovery.
  • $2,100–$2,200: This is the next upside zone if buyers break the current resistance with strong volume.
  • $1,800–$1,850: This support area is critical. Holding above it keeps the bullish double-bottom pattern valid.
  • $2,300: This is the projected target from the double-bottom formation if Ethereum confirms the breakout.

Ethereum Price Outlook

Ethereum continues to show encouraging signs despite its recent pullback. The steady decline in exchange supply, ongoing ETF inflows, and improving technical indicators all support a constructive outlook.

A decisive break above the $1,950–$2,000 resistance zone would strengthen the case for a move toward $2,100 and potentially $2,300. However, if buyers fail to clear that barrier, ETH could revisit the $1,800–$1,850 support area before attempting another breakout.
