- Ethereum is holding above the key $1,750 support level as analysts watch for a breakout above $1,850 to confirm a stronger recovery.
- If buyers maintain momentum, ETH could rally toward $2,045, while a drop below support may trigger another decline.
Ethereum continues to trade near the $1,800 mark after successfully defending a key support level at $1,750. The latest rebound has improved short-term sentiment, but analysts believe the next move will depend on whether buyers can overcome several resistance levels.
A successful breakout could strengthen the recovery and lift Ethereum toward $2,045. However, losing the $1,750 support may put the recent gains at risk.
Ethereum Holds Key Support
Ethereum recently bounced from a strong demand zone between $1,550 and $1,570 before climbing back toward $1,800. The recovery suggests buyers are still active, with $1,750 now serving as the most important support level.
Analyst Ted Pillows believes Ethereum remains on track for further gains as long as this support holds. His analysis highlights initial resistance around $1,800, followed by a stronger supply zone between $1,840 and $1,873.
If buyers manage to push above that range, Ethereum could continue climbing toward $2,009 and $2,030 before testing the larger resistance area near $2,400.
On the downside, a break below $1,750 could send ETH back to $1,690. Additional selling pressure may then drive the price toward the $1,550 support zone, with the broader demand area between $1,424 and $1,452 becoming the next target.
Resistance Levels Could Decide the Next Move
Several analysts agree that Ethereum must break through nearby resistance before a stronger recovery can begin.
Crypto Tony identified $1,850 as the next major level to watch. The market has remained trapped within a trading range for several weeks, and a rejection around $1,850 could keep Ethereum inside that range for longer.
Meanwhile, analyst Michaël van de Poppe noted that Ethereum is showing stronger price action against Bitcoin. The ETH/BTC pair is attempting to reclaim its 21-day moving average, a development that often signals improving strength across the broader altcoin market.
If Ethereum breaks above $1,850 with strong trading volume, attention could quickly shift to the next resistance levels at $1,926 and $2,045.
Analysts Still See Downside Risks
Not all analysts believe the recovery has turned into a full bullish trend. More Crypto Online argues that the current rebound could still be part of a larger corrective pattern. According to the analyst’s wave count, Ethereum is already approaching its first major resistance near $1,815.
Additional resistance sits at $1,926, $2,045, and $2,226. Unless Ethereum clears these levels, the market could face renewed selling pressure later in July or August. If that bearish scenario plays out, support around $1,550, $1,400, $1,060, and even $900 could come back into focus.
DeFi Recovery Depends on Ethereum
Ethereum’s performance is also attracting attention because it often influences the wider decentralized finance (DeFi) market. Strong ETH price action typically encourages investors to return to lending, staking, and trading on decentralized exchanges.
For now, traders will closely monitor three important levels. Ethereum must continue holding above $1,750, reclaim $1,850, and then break through $1,926 before a move toward $2,045 becomes more likely.
A decisive breakout above $2,045 would strengthen the bullish outlook and could open the door to another test of $2,226 and, eventually, the larger resistance zone around $2,400.
Until then, Ethereum remains at a critical point where both buyers and sellers continue to battle for control.
