Ethereum Price Prediction: Why ETH Could Drop Lower This Week

EtheREUM eth Price ANALYSIS IMAGE

Ethereum remains under pressure after failing to regain an important resistance level. Although short-term buying interest has slowed the decline, the broader technical outlook still points to the risk of another move lower.

Ethereum Shows Signs of Temporary Strength

Ethereum recorded volatile price action during recent trading sessions as buyers attempted to slow the ongoing decline. Technical indicators, including the RSI, have shown improving conditions, suggesting that short-term selling pressure has eased slightly.

This recovery attempt has helped ETH stabilize after recent losses. However, the positive signals have not been strong enough to change the overall market structure.

The latest price action suggests buyers are still struggling to build enough demand for a sustained rebound.

Downtrend Remains the Dominant Trend

Despite the brief improvement, Ethereum continues to trade within a short-term corrective downtrend. The outlook weakened further after ETH broke below a rising trendline that had previously supported higher prices.

This breakdown shifted market sentiment back in favor of sellers and increased the likelihood of another leg lower if buyers fail to reclaim lost ground.

As long as Ethereum remains below the broken trendline, the bearish outlook is likely to remain intact.

EMA50 Continues to Limit Recovery

Another factor weighing on Ethereum is its position below the 50-period Exponential Moving Average (EMA50). The moving average continues to act as dynamic resistance, preventing the price from building stronger upward momentum.

Repeated rejection below this level suggests sellers remain active during recovery attempts. Unless Ethereum moves back above the EMA50, any short-term rallies could struggle to develop into a broader trend reversal.

The combination of the broken trendline and the EMA50 resistance keeps downside risks elevated.

Ethereum Price Outlook

Ethereum still faces technical pressure despite signs of improving momentum from momentum indicators. The short-term bounce has not been enough to reverse the prevailing bearish structure.

Traders will likely watch whether ETH can reclaim the EMA50 and recover above the broken trendline. Until then, the technical outlook favors continued weakness, with the possibility of further losses if selling pressure returns.

A stronger recovery would require buyers to overcome these resistance levels before confidence in a sustained rebound can improve.
