Ethereum Price Targets $2,548 as ETF Inflows Top $1.2B

Ethereum is holding near $2,500 as strong ETF demand supports the market. ETH now faces a key resistance level that could shape its next move.

Ethereum traded around $2,501, showing a modest daily gain. The price remains between its short- and medium-term moving averages. However, longer-term support continues to hold.

Ethereum ETF Inflows Strengthen Demand

Ethereum-linked ETFs recorded more than $1.2 billion in inflows during August. That marks the highest monthly total since August 2025.

The latest figures point to stronger demand from investors seeking exposure to ETH through regulated investment products.

U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs also recorded $697.2 million in net inflows during the week ending August 21. This adds to the evidence that investor interest remains firm.

Regulatory developments could provide another boost. SEC has advanced new crypto custody rules for investment advisers. Clearer custody requirements could make ETH products easier for funds and other institutions to access.

ETH Price Faces $2,522 Test

Despite the stronger ETF flows, Ethereum has not yet broken above its key resistance.

ETH/USD is trading inside a short-term range between $2,454 and $2,548. The $2,522 level stands out as the main hurdle for buyers.

Technical indicators remain mixed. ETH is below the 20-hour moving average but remains above the 50-hour average. The 200-hour moving average continues to provide stronger support.

The RSI currently gives a sell signal. Several other indicators, including Stoch RSI and CCI, show oversold conditions. This suggests sellers still have control over the short-term price action.

However, the oversold readings could also leave room for a rebound if buyers return.

Can Ethereum Break Above $2,522?

The next move could depend heavily on the $2,522 resistance level.

A sustained break above $2,522 could open the way toward the upper end of the current range near $2,548. A move above that area would strengthen the bullish setup.

On the other hand, failure to reclaim $2,522 could keep ETH trapped in its current range. A drop below $2,454 would increase the risk of further losses.

The outlook for the next one to two days remains focused on consolidation. Current estimates give an upside move a 71% probability.

For now, Ethereum has strong ETF demand behind it, but price confirmation is still needed. Traders will likely watch $2,522 closely for signs of a breakout.
