HBAR Price Forecast: Can Hedera Break Resistance at $0.162?

Hedera Hashgraph’s native token, HBAR, is showing signs of recovery after a sluggish start to the week, but significant challenges continue to block its path to higher levels. While traders are leaning bullish, developers seem less engaged—raising questions about the sustainability of this rebound.

HBAR Gains Bullish Traction as Indicators Turn Green

Since early June, HBAR has experienced mostly green daily candles, reflecting renewed optimism among futures traders. Funding rates have turned positive, with long positions now paying shorts—an early sign of increasing bullish sentiment. Adding to this, the Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) has crossed into positive territory for the first time in nearly two months, hinting at a return of buyer strength.

Even more encouraging is the bullish divergence spotted in the Relative Strength Index (RSI). Although the price has remained stable or slightly bearish since mid-June, the RSI is printing higher lows—often a prelude to an upward breakout.

Development Lags While Resistance Holds Strong

Despite these bullish technicals, Hedera’s development activity paints a less optimistic picture. According to Santiment, contributions from developers have steadily declined since March and are now nearing six-month lows. This drop raises red flags about the long-term vitality of the Hedera ecosystem.

HBAR’s price is currently hovering below a critical resistance level at $0.162. This threshold has been tested three times in the past week but never breached. A successful breakout could open the door to higher targets at $0.178 and $0.217. On the flip side, failure to cross this level might send HBAR back to $0.143—especially if development activity remains weak.

A Fragile Recovery That Needs More Than Charts

Technically, HBAR is sending promising signals. The volume, RSI, and funding rates all support the case for a potential upswing. But without stronger network development to back it up, this rally could easily lose traction. Investors watching HBAR should treat this recovery as tentative and stay alert for further developments—both on-chain and on the charts.
