Hyperliquid Price Surges After Launch of Hypurr NFT Collection

Hyperliquid (HYPE) has experienced a notable recovery, rallying towards the $50 mark after the launch of its Hypurr NFTs, signaling renewed interest in the cryptocurrency and its ecosystem.

HYPE Price Rebounds

At the time of writing, HYPE trades near $47.23, up 5% over the past 24 hours. The digital asset recently dipped as low as $43 but has bounced back, eyeing the key resistance level at $50. Despite this rally, HYPE remains roughly 20% below its all-time high of $59.30, achieved on September 18. Over the past month, the token has gained 7%, reflecting cautious optimism among traders.

Trading activity has surged, with daily volumes climbing 11% to $522 million. Hyperliquid futures volumes rose 13.85% to $1.8 billion, while open interest edged up slightly by 0.61% to $2.28 billion. This indicates active short-term trading without a significant commitment to long-term positions.

Hypurr NFTs Spark Ecosystem Engagement

The Hyperliquid Foundation launched the Hypurr NFT collection on September 28, featuring 4,600 cat-themed digital collectibles on the HyperEVM. Most of these NFTs were distributed to early users during the Genesis Event in November 2024, with the remainder allocated to the Foundation, Hyperliquid Labs, NFT artists, and contributors.

Unlike standard NFT releases, Hypurr NFTs are tied directly to Hyperliquid’s infrastructure, connecting to the chain’s liquidity and enabling developers to build apps leveraging HyperCore liquidity and HyperBFT consensus. The market reception has been strong, with floor prices hitting approximately 1,458 HYPE ($68,700). One NFT even sold for over $467,000 shortly after launch, sparking community discussion, though a recent theft of eight NFTs highlighted ongoing wallet security risks.

Hyperliquid Technical Outlook

Technically, HYPE is trading between $44 and $47, with $44 serving as robust support and $50 representing key resistance. Indicators show a relative strength index (RSI) of 46, suggesting neutral momentum, while the MACD remains negative, indicating mild bearish pressure. Short-term moving averages reflect selling pressure, yet the 100- and 200-day EMAs remain supportive, maintaining the overall trend.

If HYPE breaks above $50 with strong trading volume, a retest of the September high at $59 is possible. Conversely, a drop below $44 could see prices slide toward $30. The Hypurr NFTs have provided an immediate boost, but upcoming technical tests will likely determine the token’s next direction.
