- IOTA celebrates its 10th anniversary with Binance joining as a validator and $2 million in staking rewards for users.
- The project continues to grow through technological upgrades, community engagement, and rising institutional interest.
IOTA, the innovative distributed ledger project, celebrates 10 years of blockchain and IoT innovation in 2025. Since its launch in 2015, IOTA has grown into a recognized network using its unique Tangle technology. This technology enables feeless, scalable, and efficient transactions, making it ideal for the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem.
Binance Joins IOTA as Validator
To celebrate its anniversary, Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, has joined the IOTA network as an official validator. This partnership signals strong confidence in IOTA’s future.
Alongside this, Binance Simple Earn launched a special staking program, unlocking 2 million IOTA tokens for users. Returns can reach 29.9% APR, depending on the staking period of 30, 60, or 120 days.
IOTA’s co-founder Dominik Schiener said:
“We will bring the real world on-chain. Data, identity, assets, supply chains, industries, countries – we are just getting started.”
10th Anniversary Celebrations
IOTA also celebrated its milestone with a party in Singapore. The event included raffles where winners shared 250,000 IOTA tokens, along with exclusive branded wallets and goodie bags. These efforts emphasize IOTA’s commitment to community engagement and DeFi participation.
Upgrades and Institutional Growth
Over the years, IOTA’s evolution continued, reaching a major milestone in 2025 with the IOTA Rebased upgrade, which introduced an object-based ledger architecture, improved token models, and enhanced developer tools such as SDKs, wallets, and dashboards.
The Trade Worldwide Information Network (TWIN) was also launched to modernize cross-border trade. Supported by global organizations including the IOTA’s Foundation, TWIN enables faster, more secure, and transparent data exchange across supply chains. Kenya has already joined pilot tests with agencies such as the Kenya Revenue Authority.
As IOTA reaches 10 years, its focus on technology, partnerships, and community positions it for continued growth. With increasing interest from institutional investors and governments, IOTA is set to expand its role in blockchain, IoT, and global trade.
