- Ondo Finance has expanded to Solana, enabling seamless USDY transfers across blockchains with improved capital efficiency.
- This development has boosted investor confidence, leading to price rebounds for both ONDO and Solana (SOL) tokens.
Ondo Finance has taken a major leap in the Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization race by expanding its core bridging solution to the Solana blockchain. This strategic move not only enhances Ondo’s ecosystem but also strengthens Solana’s position as a key player in decentralized finance, pushing both ONDO and SOL prices upward.
Ondo and Solana Join Forces in RWA Tokenization
The expansion introduces the Ondo Decentralized Verifier Network (DVN) to Solana, enabling seamless connectivity with other major Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible chains such as Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Mantle. Most importantly, this upgrade facilitates the movement of Ondo’s USDY token across multiple blockchains without the capital inefficiencies and counterparty risks often associated with traditional bridging solutions.
The integration comes with a capital-efficient mechanism that allows USDY to be transferred between chains without the need for external capital reserves. According to Ondo’s announcement, this development “unlocks frictionless RWA mobility,” signaling a more robust and user-friendly way to move tokenized assets across decentralized networks.
Investors have locked over $170 million worth of USDY on Solana, showing strong early adoption and interest.
Market Reaction: SOL Prices Rebound Following Solana Integration
Both tokens have reacted positively to the news. ONDO has gained 1.05% in the past 24 hours, now trading at $0.9215. Solana has also recorded a 2.20% surge, reaching $150.55 at the time of writing.
The bridge expansion follows Ondo’s ongoing collaboration with World Liberty Financial, which has helped elevate ONDO’s visibility in the institutional investment space. Additionally, a recent Binance listing has given ONDO further exposure, enhancing liquidity and accessibility for a wider range of investors.
With institutional interest in RWA tokenization on the rise, Ondo Finance’s expansion to Solana could prove to be a major catalyst for long-term growth. By offering a more capital-efficient and secure method of transferring tokenized assets, Ondo is well-positioned to capture a significant market share.
If momentum continues, both tokens could experience sustained price gains, backed by increased adoption and expanding utility in the decentralized finance landscape.
