Pi Network Deadline Extended: Don’t Miss Your Chance to Secure Your Pi!

  • The Pi Network has extended the first Grace Period deadline for KYC submissions to December 31, 2024, aligning it with the Mainnet migration deadline to provide Pioneers with more time to secure their Pi without forfeiting balances.
  • Despite the extension, Pioneers are urged to act promptly to ensure seamless migration and support the network’s transition to the Open Network in 2024.

In a significant update for the Pi Network community, the first Grace Period deadline has been extended from November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2024. This move aligns it with the second Grace Period deadline, providing Pioneers with an expanded window to complete critical milestones. Here’s a breakdown of what this means and why it matters.

Key Deadlines to Remember

  • KYC Submission Deadline: December 31, 2024
  • Mainnet Checklist and Migration Deadline: December 31, 2024

Pioneers who fail to meet these deadlines risk forfeiting most of their Mobile Balance, retaining only Pi mined within the last six months prior to migration. The extension gives additional time but emphasizes the importance of acting promptly.

Why the Extension?

The extension reflects Pi Network’s commitment to inclusivity and collaboration. Here’s why the decision was made:

  1. Inclusivity: The network aims to give as many Pioneers as possible the chance to migrate to the Mainnet before transitioning to the Open Network.
  2. Maintaining Momentum: The extension fits within the original 6-month timeframe of the Grace Period, ensuring the project stays on track without delays.
  3. Supporting Corner Cases: By providing more time for KYC submissions, the network addresses specific cases that might otherwise face unnecessary barriers.

Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute

While the Grace Period extension offers more flexibility, it’s not a reason to procrastinate. Submitting your KYC application as soon as possible is crucial for seamless migration to Mainnet. Delays could complicate the process, especially for those managing larger networks of referrals or security circle members who also need to meet their deadlines.

Moving Towards the Open Network

The Pi Network’s ultimate goal is transitioning to the Open Network in 2024. This milestone depends on community engagement and external factors, making it essential for all Pioneers to stay aligned with deadlines and project goals.

The extended Grace Period ensures that no Pioneer is left behind while maintaining the project’s ambitious timeline. If you haven’t yet completed your KYC or Mainnet migration, now is the time to act. Leverage the resources and reminders within the Pi app to secure your Pi and be part of this revolutionary blockchain initiative.

Reminder: Encourage your team and security circle to act early. Together, the community can make the Pi Network’s vision a reality!
