Pi Network Eyes $0.2935 as Whale Buying and Bullish Trends Push Price Higher

IMAGE OF PI NETWORK

Pi Network has been showing impressive strength this month, rebounding from a year-to-date low of $0.1300 in February to the current $0.2170. This 67% increase has caught the attention of investors, who are now eyeing the upcoming Pi Day event as a potential catalyst for further growth.

Whale Activity Signals Confidence

One of the biggest drivers behind Pi Network’s recent surge is significant accumulation by the token’s largest whale. Over the past week, this investor has purchased millions of tokens, including 2.4 million worth over $525,000 on Tuesday, 1.8 million on Thursday, and 1.14 million on Saturday.

The whale now holds a total of 389 million tokens, equivalent to roughly $84 million. This continued buying indicates strong long-term confidence and adds bullish pressure to the market.

Pi Day Could Drive Trading Volumes

Pi Day, celebrated on March 14, is another key factor influencing Pi Network’s price. The event often coincides with major announcements from the team, creating excitement and higher trading activity.

Potential news this year includes a listing on Kraken, which would give the token wider access to U.S. traders. Kraken has hinted at a PI listing on its roadmap, and such a move could encourage other exchanges to follow suit.

In addition, Pi Network may reveal details about its decentralized exchange (DEX) and automated market maker (AMM) tools. These platforms will allow users to trade tokens within the Pi ecosystem and encourage developers to launch new applications and tokens.

Technical Analysis Supports Upside

From a technical perspective, PI has surpassed key resistance levels and is forming a bullish pennant pattern. This pattern, consisting of a vertical line and a symmetrical triangle, often precedes a strong breakout.

The coin has also moved above the 100-day Exponential Moving Average and the Supertrend indicator, suggesting bullish momentum. If PI clears the Murrey Math Lines’ Ultimate Resistance at $0.2440, it could test its October high of $0.2935.

Ecosystem Developments Strengthen Outlook

Beyond price action, Pi Network is advancing its protocol upgrades, moving from Stellar consensus version 19 to 23. It is also integrating artificial intelligence, including AI-based KYC processes and tests with OpenMind, allowing node operators to provide computing resources to AI projects.

These developments position Pi Network not just as a cryptocurrency but as a growing ecosystem with multiple use cases, which could sustain long-term price appreciation.
