  • Pi Network now allows Pioneers to deploy apps for free by watching ads, lowering entry barriers for non-migrated users.
  • The update also adds no-code Pi payment integration and rewards early feedback to support app creation.

Pi Network has rolled out a major update to its Pi App Studio, allowing Pioneers to deploy apps without spending Pi tokens. This move is aimed at lowering entry barriers and encouraging more users to experiment with app creation, even if they have no Pi balance.

Ad-Supported Deployment Makes App Creation Accessible

The new feature enables Pioneers to deploy apps by watching short ads instead of using Pi tokens. Previously, non-migrated users or those without a Pi balance had limited ways to launch apps. By substituting ad views for payments, Pi Network hopes to keep the platform active and foster experimentation, especially during slower market periods.

While ad revenue doesn’t fully cover server and AI costs, it significantly reduces financial barriers for creators. “The goal is to make app creation accessible to everyone, even those without Pi balances,” said a Pi Network representative. The update is expected to attract more Pioneers to explore app development without needing Mainnet migration.

Simplified Pi Payments Without Coding

In addition to ad-supported deployment, Pi App Studio now supports Pi payments within apps with no coding required. Creators can simply include “Pi payment” in their app prompt to enable transactions. Currently, these payments work for single-session purchases only, but the feature prepares developers for full Mainnet integration in the future.

This no-code payment integration is part of Pi Network’s strategy to expand real-world utility for the Pi token. By allowing more seamless use of Pi within apps, the platform encourages practical applications beyond just holding coins.

Rewards for Early Feedback

Pi Network has also launched a creator survey event. The first 1,000 participants submitting valid responses receive 5 Pi credits, usable exclusively within Pi App Studio. The survey aims to collect feedback on which app types are most valuable, helping the team refine the platform and prioritize features that matter to creators.

Growing Utility and Supporting the Ecosystem

These updates highlight Pi Network’s focus on ecosystem growth and practical utility. By providing free deployment options and simplified payment integration, the platform supports a broader base of creators. As more users engage in building apps, Pi Network hopes to strengthen its community and prepare for a smooth transition to Mainnet.

Through ad-supported deployment and no-code payments, Pi Network is fostering a more inclusive and functional environment for app creation, aiming for long-term growth and increased adoption.
