Pi Network Launches Updated Ecosystem Directory Staking to Boost App Visibility

PI NETWORK IMAGE

Pi Network has introduced an updated design for its Ecosystem Directory Staking system, strengthening how apps and utilities gain visibility within the ecosystem. The feature allows users and businesses to stake Pi on the Mainnet to promote selected apps directly in the Pi ecosystem interface.

A Decentralized Way to Support Pi Apps

Ecosystem Directory Staking gives Pioneers and developers a decentralized method to influence app rankings. By staking Pi tokens, users help increase the visibility of apps and services listed in the Ecosystem Interface.

The Ecosystem Interface, accessed through the Pi Browser, allows users to explore Pi apps across different categories. These include Mainnet applications, Pi App Studio projects, and even services such as centralized exchanges.

How Staking Impacts App Discovery

When Pi is staked on an app, its ranking in the ecosystem improves. This increased ranking leads to more exposure, higher impressions, and potentially greater user traffic.

Unlike traditional app store systems that rely mainly on reviews or algorithms, this model introduces economic participation. Community members directly signal interest through staking, giving stronger weight to genuine demand.

Real-World Example of Early Impact

A recent example highlighted the effectiveness of this system. Shortly after the CiDi Games beta launch, the app received over 3.19 million staked Pi. This boost significantly improved its visibility and helped generate more than 1.2 million game plays within a week.

This case shows how staking can quickly translate into real user engagement when community interest is strong.

Updated Design Improves User Experience

This week’s update introduces a refreshed design for Ecosystem Directory Staking. The improvements focus on easier navigation, better visibility of ranked apps, and a smoother experience inside the Pi Browser.

Users can now more easily explore and discover apps through the PiApps tab, making the ecosystem more accessible to both developers and everyday Pioneers.

A Tool for Developers and Vibe Coders

The staking system is especially relevant as AI tools make app creation easier but competition for users continues to grow. Developers, creators, and vibe coders can use staking as a practical way to gain attention within a large and active user base.

With over 60 million Pioneers in the ecosystem, staking provides a direct path for new apps to be discovered, tested, and supported.

No Protocol Rewards for Staking

Pi Network has clarified that there are no direct protocol-level rewards for staking. The network does not favor or promote any specific app.

Instead, any benefits or incentives are determined by individual developers. These may include in-app features, promotions, or improved user experiences. All staked Pi is returned to users after the staking period ends.

Ecosystem Directory Staking is shaping how discovery works within Pi Network. By combining community participation with economic signals, it creates a more interactive way to promote apps and utilities.

The latest update improves usability and positions the feature as an important tool for developers looking to reach a wider audience within the Pi ecosystem.
