Pi Network Price Eyes $0.22 After Double Bottom as Smart Contract Upgrade Nears

Pi Network is entering a critical phase following a major upgrade, with price action now aligning with a potential breakout pattern. As traders watch key resistance levels, the upcoming smart contract launch could shape the next move.

Pi Price Holds Strong Within Bullish Support Zone

Pi is trading at $0.1882 at the time of writing, showing a modest gain after successfully completing Protocol 22. The price has entered the Bull Market Support Band, which ranges between $0.1841 and $0.2045. This marks the first time since March that Pi has held within this range.

At the same time, the Supertrend indicator sits at $0.1670 and continues to trend upward. This setup suggests that buyers are maintaining control, supported by a steady formation of higher lows throughout April.

However, the key level remains $0.2045. This zone aligns with both the upper boundary of the descending channel and the top of the support band. A move above it could confirm a breakout, while failure may keep the price trapped in its current trend.

Double Bottom Pattern Signals Potential Upside

On the 4-hour chart, Pi has formed a double bottom pattern. The first low appeared near $0.1500, while the second formed around $0.1600. The neckline is at $0.1900 and is now acting as immediate resistance.

A confirmed close above this level could complete the pattern. If that happens, the projected target stands near $0.2200. This level sits slightly above the major resistance zone, strengthening its importance.

Momentum indicators also support this outlook. The MACD remains in positive territory, while the Parabolic SAR has flipped bullish and continues to track below the price.

Still, rejection at $0.1900 remains a possibility. In that case, the price could retest support around $0.1767 before making another attempt.

Protocol 23 Smart Contracts Could Drive Demand

With Protocol 22 completed on April 27, attention now shifts to Protocol 23. This upcoming upgrade is expected to introduce full smart contract functionality in May.

This change could transform Pi Network into a broader blockchain platform. Developers may begin building decentralized applications, which could increase network usage and demand.

So far, more than 10 billion PI have migrated to the Mainnet. Over 6 billion tokens remain locked, reducing immediate selling pressure. This supply dynamic may support price stability as new features roll out.

Pi Network Price Outlook for April 29

If Pi breaks above $0.1900, the next target stands at $0.2045. A successful move beyond that level could open the path toward $0.2200.

On the downside, failure to hold above $0.1900 may push the price back to $0.1767. A drop below $0.1841 would weaken the current bullish setup and return control to the broader downtrend.

Pi Network is entering a decisive moment as price tests key resistance while a major upgrade approaches. The combination of technical patterns and upcoming smart contract support may determine the next direction.
