- Pi Network has launched its Second Migration Phase, allowing users to transfer referral rewards to the mainnet.
- Transfers require KYC verification, and rewards remain locked for unverified referrals.
Pi Network has rolled out its Second Migration Phase, allowing users to transfer referral rewards to the mainnet. The update follows Pi Day 2026 and focuses on KYC verification as a key requirement for unlocking referral bonuses.
Second Migration Unlocks Pending Referral Rewards
The latest migration phase enables users to move balances that were not fully processed in earlier stages. This includes referral mining rewards, which are now available for transfer once the referred accounts complete KYC verification.
Each user’s referral bonus depends on individual mining activity and verified session records. Users with unverified referrals will see a portion of their rewards remain locked until verification is complete.
So far, over 119,000 users have completed the second migration phase as access gradually expands across the network.
KYC Verification Determines Transferable Balances
The final balance a user can transfer to the mainnet now depends heavily on the KYC status of their referrals. Users who built large referral networks may find some rewards temporarily inaccessible if their referred members have not completed verification.
Some users have also reported their accounts reverting to tentative KYC status after the first migration. These cases temporarily block access to second-phase rewards but are under active review by the Pi Network team.
Enhanced Wallet Security for Mainnet Transfers
To secure funds during migration, Pi Network now requires two-factor authentication before any transfer to the mainnet. Because blockchain transactions are irreversible, the platform enforces strict confirmation steps to prevent errors or unauthorized access.
The network processes transfers in stages rather than all at once. This ensures accurate reward calculations, compliance checks, and smooth recording of balances on-chain.
Ongoing Ecosystem Expansion
Alongside the second migration, Pi Network continues to expand its ecosystem. The Pi Launchpad remains active on testnet, supporting new app development. Migration access will gradually grow in phases based on system readiness, allowing more users to move their balances safely and efficiently.
