Pi Network Users Stuck in Migration Chaos as 2FA and Balance Errors Persist

Pi Network
  • Pi Network users are facing long delays and technical issues during the coin migration process, including failed 2FA and stuck verification steps.
  • Many also report missing balances and a lack of clear communication from the project team.

Mounting Frustration as Users Await Wallet Transfer

Users of the Pi Network are voicing growing frustration over persistent issues in the migration of their Pi coins to the mainnet. Despite following all the required steps, many users remain stuck in the final stages of the process, with some reporting delays lasting more than 10 months.

A number of users have taken to platforms like Reddit and X to express their concerns. One Redditor asked, “When finally my Pi will be migrate to my wallet?”—a sentiment echoed by others who claim their friends, who completed the Know Your Customer (KYC) process at the same time, have already received their coins.

Common Pi Network Problems: 2FA, Email Confirmations, and Missing Balances

The most frequently cited issues include failed two-factor authentication (2FA), unconfirmed emails in Step 3, and system delays in bonus calculations. Even users who successfully completed all tasks have reported their coins being returned to the Pi app for security reasons.

Yogesh Kshirsagar, a user active since 2019, revealed that despite verifying 2FA years ago, he couldn’t complete the process during the second migration wave. Many have also noted that their balances are missing or that the app page is stuck on loading indefinitely.

@PiCoreTeam I have already had my 1st migration 3 yrs ago and now suddenly it's showing like this today and we are not getting any email to verify 2FA please PCT help pic.twitter.com/iOTRqq0esx

What Happens Next?

Community members believe the migration process might restart once users redo missed steps. Upon successful migration, there is a mandatory 14-day wait before unlocked Pi becomes accessible. Meanwhile, any locked Pi remains unavailable until the end of the user’s selected lockup period.

Despite these delays, some users have seen success—typically when their lockup periods end. However, bonus calculations and second migrations appear to be paused until first-wave migrations are fully resolved.

Patience vs. Pressure in the Pi Network Community

The Pi Network community remains split. Long-term holders urge patience, citing the project’s history since 2019 and its slow, cautious rollout. Others are demanding more transparency and timely communication from the Pi Core Team.

One user summed up the sentiment bluntly: “Even the Core Team can’t tell you when your migration will happen. It’s just the way this project works.”

For now, affected users are left waiting, hoping that the Pi Network will resolve migration bugs and system lags soon—so they can finally access the coins they’ve spent years mining.
