The launch comes as institutional demand for stablecoins continues to grow for payments, trading, and treasury management.
Ripple Mint Simplifies RLUSD Management
Ripple said Ripple Mint provides a unified platform for institutions to access RLUSD. Customers can use a web interface for manual operations or connect directly through APIs to automate workflows.
The platform allows institutions to mint and redeem RLUSD, transfer the stablecoin across supported blockchains, and monitor transactions from creation to completion. It also supports integration with existing business systems, making it easier to manage stablecoin operations alongside other financial processes.
Ripple said Standard Custody & Trust Company LLC, a trust company chartered by the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), issues RLUSD. The regulated structure provides the transparency and oversight institutional users require.
New APIs Add Automation and Real-Time Tracking
Ripple also introduced new APIs and webhook notifications to improve operational efficiency.
These tools let customers check transaction status, monitor account balances programmatically, and receive real-time updates throughout the minting and redemption process. Each transaction uses consistent reference IDs, giving businesses better visibility across both blockchain and fiat payment workflows.
According to Ripple, these features make it easier for institutions to automate RLUSD operations while improving reconciliation and transaction tracking.
RLUSD Expands Across More Blockchain Networks
The launch of Ripple Mint also supports RLUSD’s growing multichain strategy.
In addition to the XRP Ledger and Ethereum, RLUSD is expanding to the XRPL EVM Sidechain, Base, Optimism, Ink, and Unichain. Ripple said this broader availability will help increase RLUSD adoption across crypto exchanges, decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, payment applications, and other on-chain financial services.
The company highlighted the XRPL EVM Sidechain as an important part of its strategy because it enables Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility while maintaining a close connection to the XRP Ledger ecosystem.
Ripple added that XRP and RLUSD are designed to work together across several use cases, including liquidity, payments, settlement, collateral, and token swaps.
Ripple Invests in Institutional Growth
Alongside the platform launch, Ripple announced an investment in Notabene to further strengthen institutional access to RLUSD.
Ripple confirmed that Ripple Mint is already available to existing RLUSD customers, giving eligible institutions immediate access to its new management tools.
As stablecoin adoption continues to accelerate, Ripple aims to position RLUSD as a regulated option for institutions seeking secure and efficient digital asset infrastructure.
