Solana Surpasses Ethereum in RWA Adoption as Tokenized Assets Hit New Milestone

  • Solana has become the largest blockchain by RWA holder count, surpassing 300,000 users as tokenized assets gain adoption.
  • The network’s record tokenized equity trading volume strengthens its position in the growing RWA market.

Solana has reached a major milestone in the real-world asset (RWA) sector, becoming the largest blockchain by RWA holder count. The network surpassed 300,000 holders as demand for tokenized assets continues to expand beyond traditional stablecoins.

According to recent data, Solana now has 300,130 RWA holders, placing it ahead of Plume, Ethereum, and BNB Chain. The achievement highlights growing user adoption as more investors interact with tokenized stocks, credit products, and other blockchain-based assets.

Solana Leads Blockchain Networks in RWA Holders

Solana’s distributed RWA value currently stands near $3.32 billion, after briefly climbing to $3.62 billion earlier this month. While Ethereum remains a major player in tokenized assets by overall value, Solana has gained an advantage in the number of users holding RWAs.

The milestone shows that RWA growth is not only about the size of assets locked on a blockchain. It also reflects how many users are accessing these products.

Solana now supports more than 2,120 types of RWAs, with stablecoins accounting for the largest portion of tokenized asset value. However, other categories, including tokenized equities and private credit, are gaining attention from both retail and institutional investors.

Tokenized Stock Trading Drives Solana’s RWA Growth

Solana’s strongest advantage has come from tokenized equity trading. The network recorded $3.47 billion in tokenized equity spot volume in June 2026, reaching a new monthly record.

The figure represented more than 96% of total tokenized equity trading volume across all blockchains during the month.

This growth shows that Solana is moving beyond simply hosting tokenized assets. Users are actively trading these products on the network, creating stronger demand for fast and affordable blockchain infrastructure.

Tokenized stocks require efficient markets where users can buy, sell, and transfer assets easily. Solana’s low transaction costs and high processing speed have helped it attract platforms focused on bringing traditional financial products on-chain.

Institutional Tokenization Push Supports Solana’s Growth

The rise of RWAs on Solana comes as major financial institutions continue exploring blockchain-based securities.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) recently tested tokenized versions of traditional securities through production trades involving more than 30 firms. Its upcoming tokenization services could allow market participants to create digital versions of securities held within traditional financial systems.

Solana has already moved into this space through tokenized stock products linked with platforms such as Backpack. These products allow users to hold blockchain-based representations of shares while maintaining connections to underlying assets, including potential redemptions and corporate actions.

Can Solana Maintain Its RWA Leadership?

Solana’s record RWA holder count strengthens its position in the growing tokenization market. However, long-term success will depend on whether the network can attract more issuers and maintain institutional trust.

As traditional finance continues moving toward blockchain technology, competition between networks will likely increase. Ethereum, BNB Chain, and emerging platforms will continue expanding their RWA offerings.

For now, Solana has secured a major advantage by combining user growth, trading activity, and expanding tokenized asset adoption. The next challenge will be turning this early lead into lasting dominance in the RWA sector.
