Uniswap Holds $5.75 Support, $6 Level Decides Next Move

  • Uniswap is trading near $5.84 after repeated rejection around the $6 resistance zone.
  • Technical indicators show fading strength, with price stuck below key moving averages and RSI near neutral levels.
  • Muted on-chain flows suggest range-bound trading rather than strong accumulation or distribution.

Uniswap (UNI) continues to trade in a tight range, hovering near $5.84 after another failed attempt to clear the psychologically important $6 level. The token is down about 1.4% over the past 24 hours, reflecting renewed selling pressure after buyers briefly pushed prices toward the upper boundary of the recent range. With a market capitalization of roughly $3.68 billion and daily trading volume near $331 million, activity remains elevated but largely driven by short-term positioning rather than strong directional conviction.

Price action over the last session highlights a familiar pattern. UNI traded between $5.78 and $6.02, with sellers stepping in quickly whenever the price approached resistance. This repeated rejection suggests that the $5.95-$6 zone remains a major hurdle for bulls to overcome.

Technical Picture Shows a Neutral-to-Weak Structure

On the 1-hour chart, UNI is trading just below a tightly packed cluster of short-term exponential moving averages. The 20 EMA sits near $5.90, followed closely by the 50 EMA around $5.89 and the 100 EMA near $5.88. This compression has formed a narrow resistance band that the price has struggled to reclaim. Meanwhile, the 200 EMA around $5.85 is acting more as a pivot level than a firm support zone.

The relative strength index is hovering around 48, pointing to cooling price strength after the recent bounce. This reading reinforces the idea that buying pressure has eased, leaving UNI vulnerable to further consolidation unless a clear breakout emerges. A sustained move above $5.95-$6 would be needed to open the path toward the $6.25 region. On the downside, failure to hold above $5.75 could expose UNI to a deeper pullback toward $5.50.

On-Chain Activity Signals Rotation, Not Accumulation

On-chain data offers little evidence of aggressive buying or selling. Spot flows remain largely flat, suggesting traders are rotating positions rather than building long-term exposure. Market capitalization trends closely mirror price action, supporting the view that UNI is being traded tactically within a defined range instead of attracting fresh capital.

Fundamentals and Broader Market Context

From a fundamental perspective, sentiment around Uniswap remains cautious. Long-term narratives such as the fee switch and token burn mechanisms continue to support its deflationary appeal. However, near-term price behavior is dominated by technical resistance and broader rotation within the DeFi sector. Elevated Bitcoin dominance has also limited attention on altcoins, including established DeFi names like UNI.

Short-Term Outlook

UNI remains locked in consolidation after repeated rejection near $6. Holding above $5.75 keeps the current base intact, but only a decisive break above $6-$6.10 would signal a meaningful shift in price strength. Until then, choppy, range-bound trading is likely to persist.
