XRP and Dogecoin ETFs Break Records With $54.7M First-Day Volume

The U.S. market welcomed two major cryptocurrency ETFs on Thursday, and both made a spectacular debut. XRP and Dogecoin ETFs drew massive trading volumes, showing growing investor interest in digital assets beyond bitcoin and ethereum.

XRP ETF Tops 2025 Debuts

The REX-Osprey XRP ETF (ticker XRPR) led the way with $37.7 million in first-day trading. This is the largest ETF debut of 2025, surpassing the previous record set by the Wedbush AI Revolution ETF (IVES).

XRP has also gained attention for surpassing banking giant Citigroup in market capitalization. Ripple, the company behind XRP, which focuses on cross-border payments, is taking steps to enter traditional finance by applying for a U.S. banking license.

Dogecoin ETF Among the Year’s Best Launches

The REX-Osprey Dogecoin ETF (ticker DOJE) recorded $17 million in first-day trading. This performance puts it among the top five ETF launches of 2025, an impressive result for a coin known for its meme origins.

Dogecoin’s strong debut shows that investors are willing to explore alternative digital assets, even those that started as jokes. The coin continues to maintain a dedicated following in the crypto space.

Faster ETF Approvals Encourage Innovation

The success of these ETFs follows the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) new streamlined approval process. The updated rules cut approval times from 240 days to just 75 days, allowing crypto ETFs to reach the market faster.

While first-day net inflow numbers are still pending, the combined $54.7 million in trading volume signals strong demand for regulated crypto investment products. XRP and Dogecoin ETFs mark a major step toward wider adoption of cryptocurrencies in mainstream finance.
