XRP Price Eyes $1.60 as Symmetrical Triangle Forms Ahead of CLARITY Act Deadline

XRP is holding steady at roughly $1.37 today, recovering from a recent dip triggered by global geopolitical events. With the CLARITY Act review at the White House and a major supply unlock of 1 billion XRP, market watchers are closely monitoring the coin’s next move.

The CLARITY Act and Regulatory Clarity

March 2026 marks a pivotal moment for XRP as the White House reviews the final disputes over the CLARITY Act. This legislation could officially classify XRP as a digital commodity, offering U.S. institutions a more secure legal framework. While some experts, including Charles Hoskinson, caution about regulatory risks for new projects, established assets like XRP are expected to be “grandfathered,” providing stability for long-term holders.

Alongside the regulatory push, Ripple executed a planned release of 1 billion XRP from escrow on March 1. Initial observations show around 300–400 million XRP circulating in the market, while the remainder was relocked. Although large unlocks can temporarily increase supply and slow rallies, they also expand liquidity for Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin ecosystem.

XRP Institutional Demand Remains Strong

Despite a 45% drop in weekly ETF inflows, institutional adoption of XRP continues to rise. The XRP Ledger now hosts over $461 million in real-world assets, with major financial institutions, including Deutsche Bank, actively using Ripple’s network for secure cross-border messaging. This growing utility suggests that XRP’s market foundation remains solid even if speculative trading slows.

Technical Outlook: Symmetrical Triangle Breakout

On the charts, XRP is forming a symmetrical triangle, hovering near $1.37. Key resistance sits at $1.40–$1.42, while support ranges from $1.27 to $1.34. A sustained close above the resistance for four hours could trigger a breakout, potentially pushing XRP toward $1.60 or higher. Conversely, a fall below support could test $1.27 or even the $1.00 psychological level.

The RSI indicator is neutral at 48, signaling that XRP is neither overbought nor oversold, leaving room for a move in either direction. Analysts note a “Utility Paradox” where increased network activity doesn’t immediately reflect in price, often leading to sharp breakouts once the broader market aligns.

XRP Key Levels to Watch and Trading Strategy

Traders may consider entering positions if XRP breaks above $1.40, targeting $1.60, while cautious approaches suggest selling below $1.3370 with a near-term target of $1.30.

XRP’s next move hinges on regulatory clarity and market reaction to the latest supply unlock, making March a critical month for both investors and institutions alike.
