- XRP is falling as ETF outflows and weak demand pressure the price.
- $1.118 support is now the key level to watch for further downside risk.
Ripple is facing renewed selling pressure as XRP trades at $1.1874, marking a 3.64% daily decline while remaining below key moving averages, and this positioning reflects ongoing weakness in both short-term sentiment and broader market structure.
Institutional outflows weigh on XRP demand
US-listed spot XRP ETFs recorded $5.34 million in net outflows on June 3, 2026, with the Bitwise XRP ETF accounting for the largest single redemption at $4.0561 million, and this shift highlights reduced institutional participation at a time when liquidity is already fragile.
Open interest also declined to $2.59 billion, which signals lower derivatives activity and fading speculative positioning, while Ripple continues to expand regulatory engagement in Washington, D.C. through lobbying efforts around the CLARITY Act, although these developments have not yet translated into price support.
Bearish technical structure remains intact
XRP continues to trade below the 20-period moving average at $1.2115 and the 50-period moving average at $1.2281 on the hourly chart, while it also remains significantly under the 200-period moving average at $1.6322 on the daily timeframe, and this structure confirms that sellers still control the broader trend.
Immediate resistance sits at $1.1959, while stronger resistance is located at $1.2568, and technical indicators including MACD and ADX continue to support downside pressure, while RSI at 43.6 shows weakness without reaching oversold conditions, which suggests that bearish control is still active but not yet exhausted.
$1.118 support becomes the key level to watch
XRP is expected to trade within a volatility range of $1.1180 to $1.2568 over the next few sessions, and this range has now become the central battleground between buyers and sellers as market participants react to weakening institutional flows.
A drop below $1.1180 increases downside risk and opens the door to further losses, while a move above $1.1959 stabilizes short-term sentiment and reduces bearish pressure, although current conditions still favor consolidation with a downward bias.
Outlook remains cautious as pressure persists
Market analyst Anton Kharitonov notes that ETF outflows and declining open interest reflect fading institutional confidence, and he adds that regulatory progress in Washington is unlikely to provide immediate price relief.
XRP, therefore remains in a fragile position where support at $1.118 is critical for maintaining structure, while failure to defend this level could shift momentum further in favor of sellers in the near term.
