Zcash (ZEC) has jumped to an eight-year high near $836, extending its latest rally as traders react to progress surrounding Grayscale’s proposed spot Zcash ETF. The move has sparked fresh bullish calls for ZEC, with some traders now setting their sights on the $1,000 level and beyond.

ZEC was trading at $831.01 at the time of writing, up 6.87% in 24 hours.

Zcash Price Today

ZEC was trading at $831.01 on August 24, marking a 6.87% gain over the previous 24 hours. The rally lifted Zcash’s market capitalization to around $14 billion, while its daily trading volume stood at $1.59 billion.

Zcash has a circulating supply of 16.83 million ZEC, against a maximum supply of 21 million coins. The latest price surge has also brought renewed attention to ZEC as traders assess the potential impact of Grayscale’s proposed spot ETF.

The combination of strong price gains and growing ETF interest has put Zcash back in focus across the crypto market. Traders are now watching whether the rally can extend after ZEC reached its highest level in eight years.

Grayscale ETF Filing Fuels ZEC Rally

The latest rally followed reports that Grayscale’s filing for a spot Zcash ETF has moved forward. ZEC reached about $836, marking its highest level in roughly eight years.

The ETF development has quickly become a major talking point among traders. It has also fueled growing speculation that institutional demand could increase if a Zcash ETF gains approval.

However, the ETF narrative remains a major catalyst rather than confirmation of future demand.

Traders Speculate on Zcash and Ray Dalio

Zcash’s privacy features have also sparked speculation among traders about whether the project could attract interest from investors who have raised concerns about Bitcoin’s privacy.

Trader Taiki Maeda said he was “extremely bullish” on a potential Zcash ETF. He argued that macro investors who see privacy as an important feature could view ZEC as an alternative to Bitcoin.

Maeda’s comments have fueled speculation around potential institutional demand for ZEC. However, there is no confirmation that Ray Dalio plans to buy ZEC or invest in any Zcash-related product, making such claims purely speculative.

Zcash Price Analysis

ZEC has broken above a descending trendline that had kept the price under pressure for months. The breakout triggered a strong daily move and pushed Zcash to an eight-year high near $836.

The next hurdle is at $889.56. A daily close above this level could strengthen the breakout and put the $1,128.63 Fibonacci extension in focus.

Still, the rally has moved well ahead of its recent moving averages. ZEC is trading at $831.01, compared with the 20-day EMA at $608.44 and the 50-day EMA at $543.01.

The RSI also points to elevated buying pressure. ZEC’s RSI stands at 83.24, well above the 70 level that typically signals overbought conditions.

This does not necessarily mean the rally must reverse. However, the high RSI increases the risk of a pullback or consolidation before another attempt to move higher.

Key ZEC Support and Resistance Levels

Can ZEC Reach $1,128?

ZEC could extend its rally toward $1,128.63 if the current breakout holds. For the bullish setup to remain valid, the price needs to stay above the $766.53 support during any pullback.

A sustained break above $889.56 would strengthen the bullish outlook and bring the $1,128.63 Fibonacci extension into focus. However, ZEC may face periods of consolidation after its sharp recent rise.

The outlook would weaken if ZEC falls below $766.53. A deeper decline could then push the price toward the next support at $701.13.

Zcash Price Outlook

The Zcash rally is being driven largely by the Grayscale ETF narrative and strong trader interest. The technical structure remains bullish, but the elevated RSI points to increased short-term risk.

For now, $766.53 and $889.56 are the key levels to watch. Holding the first could preserve the breakout, while clearing the second could strengthen the case for a move toward $1,128.63.

A sharp pullback would also not invalidate the broader setup if ZEC continues to hold its breakout structure.
