- Bitcoin may drop as low as $43K before the next rally.
- Analysts point to MVRV bands and cycle patterns as warning signals for investors.
Bitcoin price has been through turbulent swings recently, dropping from its record high near $126,220 in October 2025 to around $68,000 today. While investors hope for a new rally, analysts warn that a deeper correction could still be ahead.

Bitcoin’s Painful Slide
The current market sentiment is far from last year’s optimism. Analyst Ali Martinez, referencing Glassnode’s MVRV Pricing Bands, highlights $73,726 as the current resistance. Rather than acting as a catalyst for further gains, this level has established itself as a resistance barrier, constraining Bitcoin’s upward trajectory.
MVRV is a tool that shows whether Bitcoin holders are in profit or loss. Historically, major Bitcoin bottoms tend to form between the 1.0 and 0.8 MVRV bands, currently near $54,000 and $43,000. This means that if Bitcoin decisively breaks the $54,000 zone, a pull toward $43,000 could be possible before the next bull run.
Cycle Timing Points Lower
A second approach comes from cycle analysis. Analyst NoLimit, using Bitcoin’s NUPL (Net Unrealized Profit/Loss), notes that major bottoms often arrive 12–13 months after a halving event. In the current cycle, that would place a potential low around October or November 2026.
This timing aligns closely with Martinez’s MVRV-based risk zone, suggesting that both valuation and cycle analyses point to a potential bottom between $43,000 and $54,000. Such overlaps often attract investor attention and shape market expectations.
What This Means for Investors
A drop to $43,000 is not guaranteed. Positive macro conditions, ETF demand, or strong market catalysts could prevent a deep correction. However, investors should be cautious. The next major buying opportunity might only appear after another significant flush, not before.
Traders should monitor MVRV bands, NUPL readings, and broader market conditions to gauge Bitcoin’s next move. Preparing for a potential dip now could mean positioning for an advantage in the next bull run.
