- Grayscale will launch the US’s first spot Chainlink ETF this week by converting its existing LINK trust.
- The ETF will track LINK’s spot price and staking rewards, offering investors regulated crypto exposure.
Grayscale is set to make history this week by launching the United States’ first spot Chainlink (LINK) ETF. This announcement comes amid growing interest in spot crypto ETFs following changes in U.S. SEC leadership that have eased approval processes for digital asset products.
Spot Chainlink ETF Set to Debut
According to Nate Geraci, co-founder of ETF Institute, Grayscale will convert its existing private Chainlink trust into a publicly tradable ETF.

Bloomberg Intelligence senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas also predicts the launch will take place on December 2, aligning with Geraci’s timeline. Balchunas noted that this product is part of a larger trend, with potentially over 100 spot crypto ETFs expected to enter the market within the next six months.
How the ETF Works
The Grayscale Chainlink ETF will track the spot price of LINK, providing investors with direct exposure to the cryptocurrency. Additionally, it will incorporate staking rewards from LINK holdings, offering potential income alongside price appreciation. This model mirrors Grayscale’s approach with previous ETFs, including its recently launched XRP and DOGE spot ETFs.
Grayscale has consistently expressed optimism about Chainlink, describing it in a recent research report as “critical connective tissue” bridging the crypto ecosystem with traditional financial systems. This perspective emphasizes the firm’s belief in the long-term value and utility of LINK in decentralized finance.
Crypto ETF Expansion in the US
Grayscale’s Chainlink ETF comes amid a wave of regulatory approvals for spot crypto ETFs in the United States. This year alone, ETFs linked to popular assets like Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin have received SEC approval, signaling a significant shift in the U.S. crypto investment landscape. Competing firms, such as Bitwise, also have spot LINK ETFs in the pipeline, suggesting a growing appetite among investors for diversified, regulated crypto exposure.
As the first U.S. spot Chainlink ETF, Grayscale’s product could set a benchmark for future offerings, expanding the opportunities for both retail and institutional investors to access LINK through traditional financial markets.
