- Bitcoin rebounded to around $89,000 after last week’s dip, showing signs of renewed market strength.
- Hyperliquid’s HYPE token surged 25%, hitting a two-month high above $34 and leading altcoin gains.
Bitcoin and major cryptocurrencies showed signs of recovery this week, but Hyperliquid’s HYPE token stole the spotlight, surging to a multi-month peak.
Bitcoin Reclaims $89K Amid Market Volatility
Bitcoin (BTC) rebounded from last week’s steep decline from over $95,000 to under $88,000, briefly hitting $91,000 before facing resistance. Over the weekend, BTC dipped to $86,000, its lowest in more than a month. Bulls pushed the price back to around $88,000, and the asset ultimately climbed to a four-day high of $89,500. It now hovers near $89,000, marking a 1% gain in the past 24 hours.
BTC’s market capitalization has approached $1.780 trillion, while its dominance over altcoins has dipped slightly to 57.3%.
Hyperliquid HYPE Leads the Pack
While major altcoins like DOGE, ETH, BNB, AVAX, and SOL posted modest gains of 2–3%, Hyperliquid’s HYPE token outperformed, rising 25% in just 24 hours. The surge pushed HYPE above $34, marking its highest price in nearly two months. This makes it the top gainer for a second consecutive day, attracting investor attention amid broader market movements.
Overall Crypto Market Shows Strength
The wider cryptocurrency market also benefited from renewed optimism. The total market capitalization increased by over $50 billion in the past 24 hours, reclaiming the $3.1 trillion mark. Positive price action across both BTC and select altcoins suggests growing investor confidence after last week’s volatility.
Hyperliquid’s impressive performance highlights the potential for smaller-cap tokens to outperform in bullish market phases, even when larger cryptocurrencies stabilize after short-term losses.
