- Monero price is nearing $400 as a $14.33 million whale long targets $475–$516. XMR could target $500 if it holds above $390–$400 and breaks key resistance levels.
Monero price has gained nearly 10% this week as buyers push XMR back toward the $400 level. The recovery has also lifted XMR above a key descending trendline.
A new whale position is adding more attention to the rally. An investor has opened a 4x leveraged XMR long worth about $14.33 million. The position targets prices between $475 and $516, putting the $500 level firmly in focus.

$14.33M Whale Long Targets $475 to $516
The whale activity has added another bullish signal to the XMR price outlook. The newly created wallet deposited about $3.56 million in USDC before opening a leveraged position on 36,000 XMR.
The position is valued at around $14.33 million. It also carries take-profit targets between $475 and $516.
These targets are important because they overlap with a major resistance area for Monero. If XMR continues to rise, the whale position could support bullish sentiment among traders.
However, the whale trade does not guarantee further gains. XMR still needs to clear several resistance levels before a move toward $500 becomes likely.
XMR Price Analysis
XMR price has broken above a descending trendline that had limited previous recovery attempts. The breakout came after buyers found support around the $350 to $365 area.

Monero then started building a recovery structure and moved above its key moving-average cluster. The latest 5% daily gain has pushed XMR close to the psychological $400 level. Holding above $390 to $400 would strengthen the current breakout. It would also put the $440 to $450 area in focus.
From around $395, a move to $450 would give XMR roughly 14% upside. However, the larger test lies above that level. The $480 to $520 area represents the next major supply zone. From $395, reaching this range would provide potential gains of about 21% to 31%.
A move to $500 would represent roughly 26% upside from the current level.
Key Levels to Watch
XMR first needs to hold the $390 to $400 area. Turning this former resistance into support would strengthen the breakout.
A successful retest could clear the path toward $440 to $450. If buyers push XMR above $450, attention could shift toward the $475 to $516 targets held by the whale.
The $480 to $520 region remains the most important resistance zone. A decisive break above $520 would provide stronger confirmation of a broader bullish reversal.
However, XMR could face renewed selling if it fails to hold $390 to $400. A rejection around $400 could send the price back toward $365, which remains an important support level.
Is $500 the Next XMR Price Target?
Monero has shifted from a quiet recovery into a more important breakout attempt. The weekly gain and large whale position have increased attention around XMR. Holding above $390 to $400 would keep $440 to $450 as the next major target. A break above $450 could then bring the $480 to $520 resistance zone into focus.
The $500 level remains an important psychological target for XMR. However, buyers must first overcome the wider $480 to $520 supply zone. A sustained move above $520 would provide stronger evidence that Monero’s bullish reversal can continue.
