Pi Network has updated its KYC and Mainnet migration systems to resolve issues affecting hundreds of thousands of Pioneers. More than 417,000 users previously flagged as possible duplicate accounts can now continue their KYC process after further checks found they were not duplicates.
Pi Network Removes Duplicate Account KYC Blocks
Pi Network has refined its duplicate-account checks and cleared the KYC block for more than 417,000 Pioneers identified as legitimate users.
The update allows these users to continue with the remaining KYC requirements. However, having the duplicate-account flag removed does not mean the verification process is complete. Pioneers still need to meet all other KYC requirements before they can access Mainnet migration.
Pi Network also reviewed older KYC applications submitted through Yoti that lacked liveness data. Eligible users can now re-apply. Indonesian Pioneers whose applications were rejected because they used unsupported identification documents can also submit an accepted ID.
Fast-Track Fix Targets Nearly 500,000 Pioneers
Pi Network is also preparing a fix for about 497,000 Pioneers who received Mainnet wallets through the Fast-Track process but could not claim their migrated Pi.
The issue affected users who did not have enough Pi in their wallets to cover the required gas fee. Pi Network said it plans to deploy a fix within a week to restore affected accounts and prevent similar problems in future migrations.
The network has also added liveness-check support for older devices and started a pilot program for palm print authentication. Pioneers who are asked to complete a liveness check should do so through the KYC app and check for available resubmission options.
Users whose previous migration claims failed because of insufficient gas funds can also try claiming their Pi again.
PI Price Holds Near $0.0888 as Protocol V27 Testing Advances
PI was trading around $0.0888 as Pi Network rolled out the latest KYC and migration updates. The price had moved from about $0.0890 to $0.0939 before falling back, while a later recovery toward $0.0907 failed to reclaim the earlier high.
The immediate support area is around $0.0886 to $0.0888, with another support zone between $0.0877 and $0.0880. On the upside, resistance is around $0.0892 to $0.0895, followed by the $0.0900 to $0.0905 range.
Meanwhile, Pi Network has moved Protocol V27 testing to Testnet 2 after completing the earlier Testnet 1 phase. During the reported testing period, the network processed around 250 transactions per block without reported failures.
The latest KYC and migration changes address access issues for a large number of Pioneers, while Protocol V27 testing continues on the technical side of the network.
