- Pi Network price remains under pressure as rising token unlocks increase supply and limit recovery efforts.
- While Protocol 26 upgrades improve the network, PI must hold key support levels to avoid further declines.
Pi Network price remains under pressure despite recent network upgrades, as rising token unlocks continue to create concerns over increasing supply. While the project moves forward with new developments, PI has struggled to attract enough buying interest to support a strong recovery.
PI traded near $0.08295 after a slight 1% gain in the past 24 hours. However, the token remains down around 30% over the past month as weak demand and ongoing unlocks weigh on its price.
The broader crypto market has shown signs of recovery, with total market capitalization rising to around $2.18 trillion. Bitcoin remained above $63,000, while Ethereum and XRP traded near $1,850 and $1.07, respectively. Despite the positive market environment, Pi Network has failed to benefit from the broader rebound.
Pi Network Rolls Out Protocol 26 Upgrade
The Pi Core Team has started deploying Stellar Protocol version 26 across the Pi Network Mainnet. Node operators must complete the upgrade before August 11 to maintain their connection to the network.
The update marks an important step toward another planned Mainnet upgrade. However, the announcement had little impact on PI’s price, showing that traders remain more focused on supply concerns than technical improvements.
Pi Network has introduced several ecosystem products in 2026, including Pi2Day SoloHost, Pi Sign-in, PiVerify, Protocol v26.1, and the SLICE Launchpad distribution. Despite these developments, PI has not managed to reverse its broader downtrend.
Rising Token Unlocks Could Pressure PI Price
One of the biggest challenges facing Pi Network is the increasing number of tokens entering circulation.

Around 127.96 million PI tokens are expected to be unlocked in August. Based on current prices, the release represents more than $10 million worth of supply. Monthly unlocks are expected to continue increasing through November.
Over the next 12 months, approximately 1.705 billion PI tokens could enter circulation. Without stronger demand from users and investors, the additional supply may continue limiting price recovery.
Pi Network Price Prediction: Can PI Reach $0.10?
PI is currently trading close to $0.0823, far below its February 2025 peak of $2.98. The price is also about 17% above the July low of $0.07072.
Technical indicators suggest that bearish pressure is still present. The MACD has moved below the signal line, while the RSI remains below the neutral 50 level at around 41.

If PI holds support near $0.0720, buyers could attempt another move toward $0.09. A breakout above this level may open the way toward the key resistance zone at $0.10, followed by $0.11.
However, losing the $0.0720 support level could increase selling pressure. In that case, PI could decline toward $0.0680, with a possible move toward $0.06 if bearish sentiment strengthens.
For now, Pi Network’s next major move will likely depend on whether demand can absorb the increasing token supply and whether upcoming upgrades can improve confidence among traders.
