- Ripple will stay private, funding growth through acquisitions and product development.
- Its services include Ripple Payments, Ripple Prime, and RLUSD.
Ripple has reaffirmed its commitment to staying private, citing strong financial health and ongoing growth initiatives that reduce the need for an IPO.
Strong Financial Position and Growth Focus
Ripple President Monica Long confirmed in a Bloomberg interview that the company has no plans to pursue an initial public offering. “Currently, we still plan to remain private,” Long said. She explained that while IPOs are typically driven by the need for public liquidity and investor access, Ripple is well-positioned to fund its expansion independently.
This confidence follows Ripple’s $500 million funding round in November 2025, led by major players including Fortress Investment Group and Citadel Securities. The deal reportedly included investor protections favorable to Ripple, such as rights to sell shares back at guaranteed prices and preferential treatment in events like bankruptcy or company sale.
Strategic Acquisitions Driving Expansion
Ripple has leveraged its strong balance sheet to make significant strategic moves in 2025. The company completed four major acquisitions worth nearly $4 billion, including:
- Hidden Road, a global multi-asset prime broker
- Rail, a stablecoin payments platform
- GTreasury, a treasury management system provider
- Palisade, a digital asset wallet and custody firm
These acquisitions form part of Ripple’s broader strategy to build a comprehensive enterprise digital asset infrastructure. Ripple Payments has already processed over $95 billion in total transaction volume. Ripple Prime, expanded through the Hidden Road acquisition, now offers collateralized lending and institutional XRP products.
Product Development at the Core
Long emphasized that Ripple’s strategy is centered on creating products that bridge traditional finance and blockchain technology. “The whole strategy of our company is to create products,” she said. “So the connective tissue that traditional finance needs to make blockchain and cryptocurrencies and stablecoins… to make them actually useful and applicable in the real world.”
Ripple’s focus on product innovation and strategic growth allows the company to avoid public market pressures while continuing to expand its services and infrastructure for digital assets. Ripple keeps control of its strategy and pursues long-term goals without facing the short-term scrutiny of public markets.
