- Ripple secured a $200M facility to boost Ripple Prime’s institutional lending capacity.
- The funding supports the growing demand for margin financing across traditional and digital markets.
Ripple has secured a $200 million debt facility to strengthen its institutional brokerage and lending operations. The move is aimed at scaling liquidity access as demand for margin financing continues to rise across both traditional and digital asset markets.
The financing was provided by Neuberger Specialty Finance and will directly support the expansion of Ripple’s institutional platform, Ripple Prime, which serves professional trading clients across multiple asset classes.
Strengthening Institutional Access to Credit
Ripple structured the $200 million facility as asset-based financing, enabling Ripple Prime to draw funds based on client demand. This setup ensures liquidity scales with trading activity.
Ripple will use the capital to extend credit to institutional clients trading equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and digital assets. This strengthens Ripple Prime’s position in margin lending across fast-moving global markets.
Rising Demand for Multi-Asset Margin Financing
Institutional appetite for cross-asset trading and leveraged positions has continued to grow. As a result, demand for reliable margin financing infrastructure has increased sharply.
Since Ripple acquired the brokerage platform in 2025, Ripple Prime has recorded a threefold year-over-year revenue increase. Growth has been driven by:
- Increased institutional participation in digital asset markets
- Higher demand for scalable credit solutions
- Expansion of multi-asset trading strategies
This performance highlights the growing overlap between traditional finance and digital markets.
Leadership View on Market Expansion
Ripple Prime leadership emphasized the importance of strong financing capacity in today’s trading environment.
Noel Kimmel, President of Ripple Prime, noted that dependable access to financing is critical for institutional participants operating in volatile and fast-moving markets. He added that the new facility improves capital efficiency and responsiveness for clients.
Neuberger Specialty Finance also highlighted the strategic alignment behind the deal. Peter Sterling, Head of the firm, described Ripple Prime as a platform combining fintech innovation with strong compliance and operational standards.
Scaling Liquidity in Traditional and Digital Markets
The financing structure allows Ripple Prime to grow alongside client activity across both traditional and digital asset classes. This hybrid exposure reflects a broader shift in institutional trading behavior.
Proceeds from the facility will be deployed to support institutional counterparties, further strengthening Ripple Prime’s role as a liquidity and credit provider in global markets.
The new $200 million facility marks a significant step in Ripple’s institutional strategy. With rising demand for margin lending and cross-market trading, Ripple Prime is positioning itself as a key infrastructure player bridging traditional finance and digital assets.
