  • Sui partners with Figure to deploy SEC-compliant YLDS, a yield-bearing token, enabling regulated DeFi on DeepBook.
  • The integration allows instant yield access for users with 24/7 liquidity.

Sui, the high-speed Layer 1 blockchain, has partnered with Figure Technology Solutions to launch YLDS, a SEC-registered yield-bearing token. This is the first deployment of Figure Certificate Company’s YLDS outside the Provenance Blockchain, opening regulated yield products to a broader audience.

YLDS Powers Yield on DeepBook

YLDS is backed by short-term Treasury securities and repurchase agreements, offering a yield of SOFR minus 35 basis points, with daily accrual and monthly payouts. The token will integrate with DeepBook, Sui’s leading limit order book, to support margin trading. Stablecoins on DeepBook will automatically convert into YLDS, allowing both individuals and institutions to access yield-generating digital dollars instantly, with 24/7 liquidity.

Mike Cagney, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Figure, said, “Issuing YLDS on Sui is a major step in deploying SEC-compliant, yield-bearing tokens across blockchains. Our goal is to remove intermediaries and democratize access to institutional-grade financial products.”

Regulated DeFi on Sui With Speed and Security

Sui’s object-centric blockchain enables parallel execution, sub-second finality, and fast, low-cost transactions. Evan Cheng, Co-Founder and CEO of Mysten Labs, said, “Combining regulated yield tokens with Sui’s speed and composability positions Sui as a leading platform for real-world asset adoption and institutional finance.”

Direct Fiat Access and Improved Capital Efficiency

YLDS on Sui also provides direct fiat access. Users can move USD on and off-chain without relying on traditional crypto exchanges. Future plans may include using SUI tokens as collateral in Figure’s lending platform. By minting YLDS natively on Sui, stablecoins become yield-bearing assets, improving capital efficiency across the ecosystem.

A Step Toward Financial Innovation on Sui

This partnership highlights the growth of regulated DeFi. Tokenized real-world assets on Sui now offer compliant, liquid, and transparent yield opportunities. Users benefit from both fiat and crypto access while enjoying a safe and efficient blockchain experience.
