Uniswap Price Eyes Recovery as UNI Tests $6.80 Ahead of CME Futures Launch

Uniswap (UNI) is testing the $6.80 demand zone after two weeks of losses, as retail trading activity picks up and exchange outflows triple to 6,500 UNI in 24 hours. The combination of rising retail interest and reduced exchange supply could help ease selling pressure, although a sustained recovery remains uncertain.

CME Group plans to launch standard and Micro UNI Futures on October 19, pending regulatory approval. Traders will be watching whether the upcoming launch, alongside improving on-chain activity, strengthens buying pressure enough to support a price recovery.

Uniswap Price Tests Critical $6.80 Support Zone

UNI is showing signs of a potential recovery as its price responds positively to renewed retail participation. The increase in trading activity suggests that some market participants may be viewing the recent price decline as a buying opportunity.

However, rising retail interest does not necessarily confirm that buyers have regained control. UNI still needs sufficient spot market demand to absorb selling pressure around the $6.80 demand zone.

If buyers successfully defend this level, the token could attempt a recovery. A failure to hold the zone, however, could expose UNI to further losses as sellers maintain control of the market.

UNI Exchange Outflows Triple to 6,500 Tokens

Uniswap’s exchange outflows have increased threefold to approximately 6,500 UNI over the past 24 hours, according to CryptoQuant data.

Rising exchange outflows suggest that holders are moving tokens away from trading platforms, potentially reducing the amount of UNI immediately available for sale. If this trend continues alongside stronger buying activity, it could help ease selling pressure and support the price.

Nevertheless, exchange outflows alone do not confirm that accumulation is taking place or guarantee an upward price movement. The key question is whether the improving on-chain activity translates into sustained spot market demand.

CME UNI Futures Launch Could Influence Market Sentiment

CME Group plans to introduce standard and Micro UNI Futures on October 19, subject to regulatory approval. The contracts would give traders additional tools to manage exposure to UNI’s price movements and hedge against potential losses.

The planned launch could improve market sentiment by expanding UNI’s presence in regulated derivatives markets. However, the development does not guarantee increased spot buying, as traders may also use futures to hedge positions or speculate on price declines.

As the launch approaches, market participants will likely focus on whether the anticipated development coincides with stronger demand for UNI in the spot market.

Can UNI Hold $6.80 and Reverse Its Downtrend?

UNI’s near-term outlook depends largely on whether buyers can defend the $6.80 demand zone. Renewed retail participation and rising exchange outflows provide potentially supportive signals, but stronger spot demand remains essential for a sustainable recovery.

If buyers maintain control around $6.80, UNI could attempt to rebound as selling pressure eases. Conversely, a breakdown below the demand zone could trigger further losses, indicating that the latest improvements in on-chain activity have not been sufficient to reverse the bearish trend.

For now, traders are monitoring the $6.80 level and the upcoming CME Futures launch for signs of whether UNI can recover after two weeks of losses.
