XRP Market Cap Rises $2 Billion after Ripple Secures $500 Million from Wall Street

  • XRP gained $2 billion in market value after Ripple secured a $500 million investment led by major Wall Street firms.
  • The rally was further fueled by Mastercard’s new XRP Ledger settlement pilot, signaling growing institutional trust and real-world adoption.

XRP is back in the spotlight after gaining strong support from major Wall Street investors. In the last 24 hours, the cryptocurrency surged to $2.30, adding $2 billion to its market capitalization. The move followed Ripple’s announcement of a $500 million strategic investment, which raised the company’s valuation to $40 billion.

The impressive rally saw XRP briefly touch $2.38 before settling near $2.30, with its market cap stabilizing around $138.68 billion—a 3.13% daily gain. The sudden rise signals renewed institutional confidence in Ripple’s position within the digital payments and cross-border settlement industry.

Institutional Confidence Boosts Ripple’s Outlook

This latest funding round was led by entities tied to Citadel Securities and Fortress Investment Group, signaling a major shift in institutional perception. Ripple’s technology continues to stand out for its role in improving cross-border settlement efficiency and liquidity solutions for financial institutions. Securing a valuation of $40 billion in today’s uncertain market underscores a strong belief in Ripple’s long-term business model and strategic relevance.

Mastercard Settlement Pilot Strengthens Real-World Utility

Adding to the excitement, Ripple confirmed that Mastercard has launched a settlement pilot using the XRP Ledger (XRPL). The initiative, developed in partnership with WebBank and Gemini, uses Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin to test credit card transaction settlement speeds. Unlike speculative blockchain use cases, this pilot targets real-world financial operations, where 3–5 second settlement finality could redefine payment processing efficiency and compliance.

XRP Price Outlook

The timing of this surge comes after XRP’s 22% decline over the past month, largely due to risk-off sentiment across the crypto market. However, the combination of major institutional inflows and real-world adoption has provided the spark needed to reprice the asset from oversold levels.

Technical analysts now watch the $2.40–$2.44 resistance zone, a key Fibonacci retracement level. A decisive close above it could confirm a constructive market structure, signaling potential continuation of the bullish trend. Conversely, failure to break through might result in short-term consolidation while fundamentals continue to strengthen.

XRP’s latest rally not only restores market confidence but also highlights Ripple’s growing relevance in institutional finance—bridging blockchain innovation with global payments.
