- XRP is positioned for a possible breakout as liquidity shifts from equities into crypto markets.
- The CLARITY Act vote on May 14 may trigger major regulatory clarity.
Crypto markets are watching a key political moment that could shape the next major move for digital assets. Analysts believe the upcoming CLARITY Act vote on May 14 may act as a major catalyst for XRP and the broader crypto sector, especially as liquidity continues flowing from equities into risk assets.
Crypto analyst Zach Rector argues that the next XRP rally is not uncertain. In his view, it is only a matter of timing, and early signals are already forming across financial markets.
Stock Market Liquidity Sets the Stage for Crypto Rotation
The U.S. stock market has added about $10 trillion in value within just 39 days. During the same period, the NASDAQ crossed 29,000 for the first time, while the S&P 500 hit a record 7,400. Rector believes this kind of rapid expansion often leads to capital rotation into crypto markets.
He described it as a familiar cycle where gains in traditional markets eventually move into digital assets as investors search for higher returns.
Early Moves Suggest Crypto Rotation Has Started
According to Rector, several recent price moves already hint at early capital rotation into crypto-related assets.
- Constellation DAG surged about 200% following its acquisition news and planned NASDAQ listing under the ticker AIS
- Ondo jumped over 137% from February lows after developments involving Ripple, JPMorgan, Mastercard, and a tokenized Treasury settlement on the XRP Ledger
Despite this, XRP did not react strongly to the Ondo-related news. Rector called this “incredible suppression,” but said it does not change the bigger trend.
He noted that XRP has historically outperformed during previous market cycles and expects a similar outcome again.
CLARITY Act May 14 Vote Becomes Key Market Catalyst
The Senate Banking Committee has scheduled the CLARITY Act markup for May 14 at 10:30 AM EST.
Rector sees this moment as critical. He believes it is the last strong window for progress before political campaigning slows down legislative action. If the bill passes the committee, advances through the Senate, and is reconciled with the House version, it could reach the president’s desk by July 4.
Such an outcome would remove a major regulatory uncertainty that has weighed on XRP and the broader crypto market.
Retail Investors Already Exited the Market
Rector also pointed to weakening retail participation. Coinbase XRP trading volume has reportedly fallen 18% year over year. He argues this pattern often appears before major upward moves in crypto markets. According to his view, retail investors typically exit during long sideways price action, only to re-enter after strong rallies begin.
“You scare retail out, chop it sideways so they get bored, and then you send it,” he said.
Rector has positioned heavily, with 90% of his portfolio allocated to XRP, reflecting his long-term conviction in the asset’s potential.
Outlook for XRP as Policy and Liquidity Align
The combination of rising stock market liquidity and growing expectations of regulatory clarity is shaping market sentiment around XRP.
If the CLARITY Act progresses as planned, it could remove one of the most significant regulatory uncertainties weighing on the broader crypto market. For now, attention is firmly focused on May 14, a date many traders view as a potential turning point for XRP’s next major move.
