- Zcash rallied after the SEC ended its probe, boosting institutional buying and market confidence.
- A bull flag breakout now pushes the price toward $700 with strong technical support.
Zcash has extended its strong breakout move after gaining momentum from regulatory clarity and rising institutional demand. The price is now approaching the key psychological level of $700 as bullish sentiment strengthens across the market.
SEC closure of probe triggers sharp rally
Zcash recorded a 15% single-day gain, climbing to around $660.21 after a major regulatory development. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission officially closed its multi-year investigation into the Zcash Foundation without any penalties or enforcement action.
This outcome removed a long-standing uncertainty that had limited investor confidence. Market participants quickly shifted into risk-on positioning as regulatory pressure faded.
Institutional buying strengthens market structure
Institutional accumulation has played a major role in the current price surge. Multicoin Capital disclosed a long-term position in Zcash, highlighting its appeal as a privacy-focused store of value.
Cypherpunk Technologies also increased its holdings to 314,185 ZEC, representing a significant portion of the circulating supply. The firm additionally committed further capital toward ecosystem development alongside Andreessen Horowitz and Coinbase Ventures.
At the same time, market attention has shifted toward potential institutional products. Grayscale Investments is reportedly working on converting its Zcash Trust into a spot ETF structure, which could increase long-term demand if approved.
Bull flag breakout confirms continuation trend
Zcash has confirmed a bullish flag breakout after a strong upward move from around $240 to near $640. The price then entered a brief consolidation phase before breaking higher on rising volume.

The breakout signals a continuation of the broader uptrend. Zcash is currently trading above its major moving averages, including the 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day levels, which reinforces the bullish structure.
The alignment of these moving averages reflects sustained upward trend strength and continued buyer control.
Derivatives activity supports upward pressure
Derivatives data shows increased market participation and aggressive positioning. CoinGlass reports that open interest has risen by about 38% within 48 hours.
Funding rates have turned positive, indicating strong demand for long positions. Short liquidations have also exceeded $14.2 million, adding forced buying pressure to the market.
This combination of rising leverage and liquidations has contributed to the fast upward move toward the $700 level.
Zcash price outlook and key resistance levels
The immediate resistance zone remains $700, which is now the primary short-term target. A successful breakout above this level could open the path toward $745.
The technical structure remains bullish as long as Zcash holds above support near $545.86. Market participants are closely monitoring whether buying pressure can continue at current levels without weakening.
Risks that could slow the rally
Despite the strong setup, macroeconomic risks remain important. Higher U.S. Treasury yields and tighter monetary policy conditions could reduce liquidity in risk assets, including cryptocurrencies.
Geopolitical uncertainty and inflation concerns may also trigger short-term risk-off sentiment across financial markets.
From a technical perspective, a breakdown back into the previous consolidation range would weaken the bullish case. A drop below $545.86 would signal early weakness, while a daily close below $480 would invalidate the breakout structure.
Zcash is currently supported by a combination of regulatory clarity, institutional accumulation, and a confirmed technical breakout. The market focus now shifts to whether buyers can sustain momentum and push the price beyond $700 toward higher resistance zones.
