  • Chainlink remains a leading player in the growing RWA sector as the tokenized assets market surpasses $12 billion.
  • Analysts believe LINK could see strong gains if institutional adoption continues rising.

The real-world asset (RWA) sector continues to expand rapidly, with the market surpassing $12 billion in March 2026. Amid this growth, Chainlink has emerged as one of the leading blockchain projects powering tokenized assets, ranking at the top of major RWA sector lists.

Analysts are also turning bullish on LINK, with some traders predicting a potential breakout that could send the token significantly higher in the coming months.

Chainlink Maintains Strong Position in the RWA Sector

According to data from Santiment, Chainlink currently ranks as the top RWA-related crypto asset by market capitalization. The network holds a valuation of approximately $7.68 billion, alongside a 24-hour trading volume of nearly $681 million.

Stellar followed in second place with a market cap of $5.48 billion, while Avalanche secured third place at $4.32 billion. Hedera, Tether Gold, and Ondo also ranked among the sector’s largest projects.

CoinGecko presented a slightly different ranking. Figure Heloc, a tokenized home equity line of credit asset from Figure Markets, claimed the top position with an $18.36 billion market cap. However, Chainlink still held second place ahead of Stellar.

Despite the different rankings, both datasets highlighted Chainlink’s growing role in tokenized asset infrastructure.

Institutional Adoption Supports Chainlink Growth

Chainlink’s expansion in the RWA market comes as institutional adoption continues to increase. Fidelity International recently launched its FILQ tokenized fund using Chainlink’s infrastructure. At the same time, DTCC has started integrating Chainlink standards into its Collateral AppChain system.

These developments have strengthened Chainlink’s position as a major provider of blockchain data and interoperability solutions for tokenized assets.

The broader RWA narrative has also gained attention across the crypto market. Analysts believe tokenization could expand into multiple industries, including real estate, commodities, equities, and traditional financial products.

BNB Chain Records Massive RWA Holder Growth

While Chainlink dominated market cap rankings, BNB Chain posted the largest increase in RWA holders in 2026.

Data from RR2capital showed that BNB Chain recorded a 567.4% rise in RWA holders since the start of the year. Base followed with 84.5% growth, while Solana and Stellar registered increases of 73% and 66.7%, respectively.

Ethereum and Arbitrum also showed steady gains, with holder growth of 47.8% and 35.8%.

The data suggests that RWA adoption is spreading beyond Ethereum as more blockchain ecosystems compete for tokenized asset activity.

LINK Price Eyes Potential Breakout

LINK traded near $10.16 at the time of writing, gaining 6.3% over the past seven days. Market analysts believe the token may be entering a bullish phase after breaking above a long-term descending resistance trendline.

Trader WhaleFactor stated that the breakout structure appears technically strong, with a retest currently forming on the daily timeframe. Analysts have pointed to a possible price target of $24.87 if bullish conditions continue. That move would represent more than 170% upside from current levels.

However, the bullish setup depends on LINK maintaining support near the $9 level. If the token falls below that range, analysts expect the next major support area to appear around $7.20.

RWA Sector Growth Could Continue

The rapid growth of tokenized assets has positioned RWAs as one of the strongest narratives in the crypto market. As institutional participation increases, projects providing infrastructure for tokenization could continue attracting investor attention.

Chainlink’s leading role in data connectivity and blockchain interoperability has helped strengthen its standing within the sector. The coming weeks may determine whether growing institutional demand can support further gains for LINK and the wider RWA market.
