  • Ethereum spot ETFs recorded a $40.85M net outflow on June 9, with Grayscale’s ETHE and ETH funds leading the withdrawals.
  • Despite the outflows, Ethereum ETFs still hold $9.14 billion in assets and have attracted $11.24 billion in cumulative inflows.

Ethereum spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded a significant net outflow on June 9, as investors pulled millions from several funds despite strong cumulative inflows since launch.

Grayscale Funds Account for Most Ethereum ETF Outflows

According to data from SoSoValue, Ethereum spot ETFs posted a total net outflow of $40.85 million on June 9. The largest withdrawal came from the Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHE), which recorded a net outflow of $17.42 million.

The latest withdrawals pushed ETHE’s total historical net outflows to $5.32 billion. Despite the continued outflows, the fund still manages a substantial asset base worth approximately $5.32 billion.

The Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF (ETH) followed closely behind. The fund recorded a single-day net outflow of $14.96 million. However, unlike ETHE, the Mini Trust has maintained positive long-term demand, with cumulative net inflows reaching $1.87 billion.

Ethereum Spot ETFs Hold Over $9 Billion in Assets

Although June 9 saw notable withdrawals, Ethereum spot ETFs continue to hold a sizable share of the market.

As of the latest update, the total net asset value of Ethereum spot ETFs stood at $9.14 billion. These holdings represent 4.56% of Ethereum’s total market capitalization, highlighting the growing role of institutional investment products in the Ethereum ecosystem.

The sector has also accumulated total historical net inflows of $11.24 billion since spot Ethereum ETFs began trading.

Ethereum Price Faces Continued Pressure

The latest outflows come as Ethereum remains under price pressure. Investor sentiment appears cautious, with some market participants reducing exposure despite the broader success of spot Ethereum ETF products.

While a single day of outflows does not necessarily signal a trend reversal, continued withdrawals could weigh on market sentiment if they persist in the coming weeks.

For now, Ethereum spot ETFs remain a major gateway for institutional exposure to the digital asset, even as short-term fund flows fluctuate alongside broader market conditions.
