  • Gemini has launched a Solana Edition credit card that automatically stakes SOL rewards, offering up to 6.77% yield.
  • The card gives users up to 4% SOL back on purchases, merging everyday spending with blockchain participation.

Gemini has unveiled its new Solana Edition credit card, a first-of-its-kind product that integrates blockchain mechanics directly into consumer finance. The card automatically stakes Solana (SOL) rewards, turning everyday purchases into passive income while supporting Solana’s network security.

Solana Rewards Turn Everyday Spending Into Staked Income

Launched on October 20, Gemini’s Solana Edition credit card automatically converts spending rewards into staked SOL within the exchange’s system. Cardholders can earn up to 4% SOL back on categories such as gas, EV charging, and rideshare purchases. The staked rewards generate yields of up to 6.77%, allowing users to benefit from blockchain participation without any manual effort.

This feature makes the card a seamless bridge between traditional finance and decentralized networks, giving consumers a taste of crypto utility through ordinary spending.

Expanding Gemini’s Crypto Credit Card Line

The Solana Edition follows Gemini’s previous Bitcoin and XRP card editions, underscoring the company’s intent to offer flexible crypto rewards. New applicants can enable the auto-staking option during sign-up, while existing users can activate it through their rewards settings.

Gemini acts as an intermediary between cardholders and Solana’s validator network, which handles staking and transaction verification through smart contracts. This integration allows users to participate in Solana’s decentralized ecosystem without needing technical expertise or third-party wallets.

Gemini Deepens Its Solana Ecosystem Integration

This credit card launch comes just days after Gemini enabled USDT and USDC transfers on Solana, citing the blockchain’s high speed and low transaction fees. The company praised Solana’s “robust and active community,” highlighting its strong developer base and performance metrics.

According to Gemini’s internal data, users who held SOL rewards for at least one year saw their value increase by 299.1% as of late July, reinforcing the appeal of the network.

The announcement also lifted Gemini’s stock price by 5%, reaching $20.67 during Monday trading. While still below its IPO price of $28, the company’s latest move signals renewed growth efforts and confidence in Solana’s long-term potential.
