- IOTA’s price is nearing its all-time low as network activity and developer adoption sharply decline.
- Despite technical upgrades and staking incentives, the token continues to underperform compared to rival networks.
IOTA price continues to struggle, approaching historic lows amid growing concerns over its network adoption and activity. Trading at $0.0840, the token is hovering just above its all-time low of $0.056 and remains nearly 98% below its peak. Despite technical upgrades, the network is failing to regain investor confidence.
Top IOTA Metrics Show Significant Decline
This year, IOTA has emerged as one of the worst-performing cryptocurrencies. The launch of the Rebased upgrade introduced full decentralization, smart contracts, and an impressive throughput of over 50,000 transactions per second (TPS). The update also enabled native staking, offering investors yields of more than 15%.
Despite these features, the token’s price has dropped over 60% in 2025, leaving stakers with an approximate -45% return. Data highlights a sharp decline in adoption: IOTA has attracted only three developers in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector, while its total value locked (TVL) has fallen 26% in the past 30 days to $17.48 million.
Meanwhile, IOTA EVM, the network’s Ethereum-compatible version, hosts just 12 decentralized applications (dApps) and maintains a TVL of $2.39 million, down nearly 20% recently. These figures are significantly lower than competing networks like Monad and Plasma, which continue to see growth in both transactions and active users.
Network Activity Shows Alarming Drop
IOTA’s daily activity metrics are declining, with active addresses dropping to just 746, making it one of the least active chains. Active transactions fell 141% over the past month to 450,000, compared with Monad’s 51 million transactions and 1.3 million active addresses, both showing triple-digit growth.
Technical Analysis Points to Further Downside
Technical charts indicate that IOTA remains in a strong downward trend. The token has stayed below the descending trendline connecting the year’s highest swings and has moved beneath the key $0.1298 support level. It also trades below all major moving averages, while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) continues to decline.

With sellers targeting the all-time low of $0.0565, IOTA could experience a further 35% decline, reinforcing the notion that the network is struggling to recover from its current downturn.
