  • Ondo Finance invested $25 million in Figure’s YLDS stablecoin to strengthen the backing of its OUSG tokenized treasury fund.
  • The partnership aims to expand institutional adoption of onchain finance through diversified, blockchain-based yield sources.

Ondo Finance has taken a major step in expanding its tokenized treasury ecosystem by investing $25 million into YLDS, a yield-bearing stablecoin issued by Figure Certificate Company (FCC). This strategic purchase deepens the partnership between Ondo and Figure while strengthening the backing of OUSG, Ondo’s flagship on-chain Short-Term US Treasuries Fund.

A Growing On-Chain Treasury Product With Strong Adoption

OUSG has become one of the most successful institutional-grade tokenized products, with a total value locked of over $780 million. It is designed to offer institutional clients a modern way to access short-term U.S. Treasuries with on-chain efficiencies.

The fund delivers several features that attract large-scale investors, including instant 24/7 subscriptions and redemptions, daily interest accruals, low fees, and multi-chain support across Ethereum, Solana, Ripple, and Polygon.

The addition of YLDS enhances OUSG’s yield sources, joining a portfolio supported by major global asset managers such as BlackRock’s BUIDL, Fidelity’s FDIT, Franklin Templeton’s BENJI, WisdomTree’s WTGXX, and Wellington Management’s ULTRA.

Deepening Collaboration Between Ondo and Figure

The investment comes shortly after Figure Technology Solutions completed a successful IPO, an important milestone in its mission to modernize capital markets through blockchain innovation.

Figure CEO Michael Tannenbaum highlighted that the partnership strengthens the dominance of YLDS in the tokenized real-world asset space. He emphasized the shared belief between Figure and Ondo that blockchain can create a financial system that is more transparent, inclusive, and efficient.

Ondo President Ian De Bode added that integrating YLDS into OUSG’s strategy further establishes the fund as a leading on-chain vehicle for institutions. He also noted that Figure’s lending infrastructure brings additional diversification and institutional-grade stability to OUSG’s ecosystem.

Accelerating Institutional Adoption of Tokenized Finance

Figure has already facilitated $19 billion in blockchain-based lending on the Provenance Blockchain, with YLDS serving as dominant collateral in Figure’s Democratized Prime ecosystem.

By backing YLDS and expanding its relationship with Figure, Ondo aims to accelerate the global shift toward on-chain finance. The partnership helps build a stronger, more diverse foundation for institutional investors looking to enter the rapidly growing tokenized asset market.
