RLUSD Gains Wanchain Bridge Integration for XRP Ledger Ethereum and Cardano Transfers

  • RLUSD has expanded its cross-chain reach after Wanchain enabled bridging across XRP Ledger, Ethereum, and Cardano.
  • This upgrade improves liquidity movement while Ripple continues growing RLUSD adoption through exchanges, trading use cases, and payments integration.

Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin is entering a new phase of growth after a major interoperability upgrade. The token has gained support from Wanchain’s bridge infrastructure, allowing it to move across multiple blockchain ecosystems. These include the XRP Ledger, Ethereum, and Cardano.

The update strengthens RLUSD’s position in the growing stablecoin market. It also improves liquidity flow between networks without relying heavily on centralized exchanges.

Wanchain Bridge Adds New RLUSD Transfer Routes

Wanchain has enabled RLUSD support on its cross-chain bridge, creating new transfer options for users. RLUSD issued on the XRP Ledger can now be bridged to Ethereum, Cardano, and the Wanchain ecosystem.

The same applies to RLUSD issued on Ethereum, which can also move into Cardano through the bridge. This creates a flexible system where users can shift stablecoin liquidity across multiple chains with fewer steps.

Wanchain’s focus is interoperability. This update adds RLUSD to its growing list of supported assets. It also increases access to stable dollar liquidity in ecosystems like Cardano, which continues to expand its DeFi activity.

Ripple Pushes a Broader Cross-Chain Strategy

This development aligns with Ripple’s wider plan for RLUSD. The stablecoin is designed to operate beyond a single blockchain environment. Ripple has already confirmed plans to expand RLUSD’s support into Ethereum layer-2 networks such as Base, Optimism, and others.

Earlier testing also involved cross-chain tools like Wormhole, showing Ripple’s long-term interest in interoperability. The goal is clear. RLUSD is being positioned as a multichain stablecoin for payments and financial applications.

Exchange Growth and Market Expansion

RLUSD is also expanding through exchange listings. Coinone recently added the stablecoin, giving users in South Korea direct access through KRW trading pairs. This marks another step in regulated market expansion for Ripple’s stablecoin.

At the same time, RLUSD is now being used in more trading environments. Bitrue allows it as collateral for futures trading, increasing its role in derivatives markets. This adds utility beyond simple transfers.

Stablecoin Use Cases Continue to Grow

Discussions around RLUSD’s are also moving into payment systems. Mastercard is reportedly exploring stablecoin settlement options that could include RLUSD in future systems. While no final rollout has been confirmed, the interest shows growing institutional attention.

RLUSD currently holds a market capitalization of around $1.5 billion. Most supply remains on Ethereum, while a significant portion is also active on the XRP Ledger.

With Wanchain now connecting RLUSD across multiple chains, Ripple’s stablecoin is moving deeper into cross-chain finance. The focus is no longer just issuance. It is now about accessibility, liquidity, and real-world utility across blockchain ecosystems.
