  • Bitcoin ETFs recorded $225.2 million in outflows on July 24, ending a seven-day streak that brought nearly $1 billion in inflows.
  • Despite the setback, weekly inflows remained positive as Ethereum ETFs continued attracting fresh capital.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded their first net outflow in over a week on July 24, 2026, ending a strong seven-day run that brought in nearly $1 billion. The sudden reversal came as Bitcoin slipped below $65,000 and global markets reacted to renewed US-Iran tensions.

The latest outflows have raised questions about whether institutional demand for Bitcoin ETFs is slowing or if investors are simply taking a short break after a strong recovery period.

Bitcoin ETFs Break Seven-Day Inflow Streak

US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $225.2 million in net outflows on July 24, according to SoSoValue data. This marked the first negative session since July 13 and ended a seven-day streak of consistent inflows.

During the previous seven trading sessions, Bitcoin ETFs attracted close to $1 billion in new capital. The streak included a $226.9 million inflow on July 21, which was the strongest single-day performance since July 6.

Despite the latest outflows, Bitcoin ETFs still recorded around $274 million in weekly net inflows up to July 24. This shows that one day of withdrawals has not erased the broader positive trend.

The recent inflow streak also helped reduce some of the heavy outflows recorded earlier in 2026, when Bitcoin ETFs faced approximately $4.84 billion in net withdrawals.

Bitcoin Price Falls as Market Sentiment Weakens

Bitcoin faced selling pressure on July 24 as investors reacted to rising geopolitical concerns. The price dropped to $64,600 before recovering slightly to around $65,403 at the time of reporting.

The decline followed weakness in US stock markets, with renewed tensions between Washington and Tehran affecting investor confidence.

Market sentiment also remained cautious. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index dropped three points to 28, keeping the market in the “fear” zone.

Analysts noted that Bitcoin still needs to hold the $65,000–$65,500 range to strengthen expectations for a continued recovery. The recent ETF inflows suggested reduced selling pressure, but they did not confirm a full return of strong institutional demand.

Ethereum ETFs Move Against Bitcoin Trend

While Bitcoin ETFs saw withdrawals, Ethereum ETFs continued attracting investors. US spot Ether ETFs recorded $26.3 million in net inflows on July 24, extending their inflow streak to five consecutive days.

The difference between Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF activity shows that investor interest remains selective. Ethereum products have maintained steady demand even as Bitcoin-related funds experienced short-term pressure.

Is the Bitcoin ETF Recovery Losing Strength?

The latest Bitcoin ETF outflows do not necessarily signal the end of institutional interest. The funds still posted a positive weekly performance despite Thursday’s withdrawals.

However, Bitcoin’s price action and weak market sentiment suggest investors remain cautious. If ETF outflows continue and Bitcoin loses key support levels, concerns about a broader correction could increase.

For now, the market appears to be watching whether July 24 was only a temporary pause or the beginning of a longer shift in investor behavior. Ethereum ETF inflows and continued weekly Bitcoin ETF gains suggest that institutional demand has not disappeared, but uncertainty remains high.
